Forged Performance: GTR Track Prep Upgrades
We wanted to share with you some terrific upgrades we are making to a customer's track bound GT-R. This particular GT-R was already heavily modified when it arrived and included a Switzer P800 Turbo Kit and JRZ RS Pro Coilovers. Because the customer lives in Florida and tracks quite frequently in some of the hottest environments in the country he looked to Forged's track proven expertise and guidance in making his GT-R run cool and strong throughout the hot summer months. The cooling system of the GT-R is unique, in that many different systems are interrelated so it's not just a matter of bolting on traditional cooling mods but you must also look at the big picture with respect to how all of these parts work together and the sources of all of this heat. It's often not as obvious as you would think.
With this goal in mind we are adding: -Forged Performance Sway Bar Set and racing end links -Willall Racing Front Differential Cooler -Willall Racing Rear Differential Cooler -HKS Transmission Cooler -HKS Intercooler Kit With Carbon Ducting -OS Giken Rear Diff -Forged Performance Spec Road Race ECU Calibration Very shortly we'll be adding fluids and should be ready for final quality checks and dyno tuning! |

It's definitely needed. I think Whiteline is the only company that makes them for the 370Z right now? They are stupid expensive too.

Travis wasn't here when we developed them, but we already have prototype FP Spec bars. They are currently on my daily driver 2010 Nismo. We are now working on the end links. Those that went on last weekend's mountain run saw them in action, along with the JRZ RS1 shocks. What a terrific package of parts. We are formally launching the GT-R bars on Monday and the 370z bars will follow about 8-10 weeks after that. All monoball spherical joints, precision CNC machined spacers to maintain proper end link geometery, and countless other features. More to come later.

Are the sways going to be adjustable? Not that they have to be. I love full stiff on my Hotchkis. And don't mention JRZ's. I want them so bad. I try not to look at them no more. But will be had in due time.

The current front bar design is not adjustable, but the rear is. The second prototype is a two piece does that is adjustable up front as well, just like the GT-R bar pictured. However, the production costs are much higher so we decided against it for production purposes. The GT-R was unique for many reasons such as extreme speeds, weight, and lateral loading that you won't find on the 370Z. So some of the design concepts we developed for the GT-R would be overkill for the 370Z, and would not improve the end result.
