Whats your best guess on my Texas mile upcoming run speed?
Give me your best realistic guess on how fast you think my best run will be at the Texas mile. I have had my speed limit removed from my ECU and am running GTM twin turbos stage 2 @9.5psi. My rwhp is about 480 and tq about 370. My car is sport/touring 7AT. The driver will weigh about 250lbs. Also, the car has been Osiris tuned by Z1.
I know its not just a HP game and am working on my aero aspects before the race. That being said, my expectations are more down to earth than you might think. Thanks, Blue |

I going to guess you can hit the 1 mile run in about 20 seconds @ 160mph.

I'm guessing 29.5 seconds at 179 mph. That's assuming a pretty spot on launch and shifting. I doubt you could do faster than bout 184 mph (pretty much physics won't allow it...), and under 30 seconds is pretty damn good.

careful...the mile run track is very bumpy. Especially at those speeds.
A 777rwhp 350z ran 178mph. I'm thinking you'll do 165ish mph if you're a good driver.

I understand a mile is not as long at these speeds as I may think. I also know that I have out run a 350z with 800 rwhp and dont think HP = HP when you compare the 350 to the 370.....and I have owned both. My additional TQ will make my launch better and help in my overall speed (I hope). |

I don't think you're going to make it to 180 MPH in one mile from a standing start. If you had more room surely you would but I think 165-17x is more reasonable.

You have out ran a 800whp 350... No offense, but you are looking at a mid 160 time and you might be able to break into 170 if, big if, you throw on some better aero but even then it will not help until you are into the 100+ range.

I'd worry about the A/T transmission if you turn the wick up past your current power levels, but all of this is speculation anyways as you never know how the car, conditions, and driver will perform that day which could work for or against you. I hope you go as high a speed as you can!

No offense dude but I'm thinking 160-165 might be a good number for you. There are so many variables involved. Driver being the biggest. Don't get me wrong. I would love to see you hit 180s but I know there are a number of GTRs that only ran in the 160s. Good luck. I look forward to your results.
