fast 1/4 mile u've seen?

whats the max potential for 370z? or am i askin a too broad of a question? whats consider fast?

Like i know that 13.5ish is stock? rite?

Red__Zed 12-28-2010 11:25 PM

what is "fast" is a matter of perspective. I've not really seen any truly fast times with a 370z yet, but the aftermarket hasn't really caught up yet.

i went 13.8@104 with my Z, that was the fastest i got with just intakes.

12.3 is the bolt on N/A record and 11.7 is the current all time record with FI

Snakes709 12-29-2010 12:26 AM

thought there would be a bigger time difference between those two. What where the mods on each car? I'm guessing around 100-150hp difference? and only a .6 difference, wow.

That's a huge difference when you get to around the 12 second mark. On my s2k, tens of thousands of dollars went to make changes of less than a tenth of a second.

Our FI Z's are also nowhere near their potential-- there is still a whole lot on the table.

also depends on the driver too, that 12.3 with bolt on z must has a hell of a driver.....

One_Quick_Z 12-29-2010 10:53 AM

Stock most people hit 13.0-13.3

I hit a 13.2 stock

and a 12.9 with very few bolt-ons on an ice rink of a drag strip.. :)

i ran 13.1 bone stock down to the filter, i saw another Z 2 weeks later hit 13 flat heard he was also bone stock with sport package....not to many people who have Z's drag though...this car has allot of untapped potential with VVEL still being worked and aftermarket support kinda slow....also that 12.3 was ran on streets tires so it will get lower IMHO

Also depends on altitude, temp, pressure. Example..... A 13.3 can be an impressive number if run on a hot day in Denver, but a lousy time on a cold day in San Diego on the same car.

12.800, more to come with the GTM stage 2.

Jnuat is the king of the N/A 1/4 mile.

chuckd05 12-29-2010 05:53 PM

I went 12.94 with a 2.0 60 ft with a 6M....

on a 85 degree day .... with just test pipes , Stillen exhaust, G3 Intakes, and UpRev

auto's are way more consistent with their times.. and are much easier to get down the strip "successfully" ... 6M's are much more forgiving

The 11.7 w/ twin turbos was traction limited, trapped well over 120+ mph. The car has more in it.

The 12.3 all motor run was about 112mph w/ awesome driving.

JayYoon 12-30-2010 05:37 AM

damn... so 13.5ish is a safe stock 1/4 time... i am assumin?
anyone know what the avg 1/4 time will be for just g3 cai?

m4a1mustang 12-30-2010 07:00 AM

Why don't you go to the track and find out?
