Very nice! A little more forward bite in a few of those corners and I'm sure you'd have knocked another few tenths off!

spearfish25 11-27-2010 07:42 PM

Nice driving and video. Which Hankooks are you running?

Paul@AEperformance 11-28-2010 12:11 PM

:tup:Thank you guys,

M4A1mustang: We contstantly try to tune out the understeer, we've tried a few things even, 285's square wich solves this but I prefer the steering responce of the smaller rubber up front. As the car sits we have it almost completely netural, w/ a touch of oversteer as I prefer. But Autoclub has a few slightly off camber turns that we can't do much about w/o sacraficing grip in other areas of the track.

Spearfish25: We run Hankook RS3. 265/285. Per Class Rules we are premitted to run a few options but must be DOT Street tire with a certian treadwear #. NT05, RS3,ect. Tires like Advan Neova were deemed too fast. RS3 is the best of the batch IMO. Tire size per class rules can't exceed 285' width also. I'd love to see what she can do with some R-comps or Hossiers.

P.S Thanks for posting the vid in the tread!

Tons of weight reduction + Oil Cooler + Coilvers + Rims.
That's all I know.
I always tried asking them about their power mods but they never budged...

Great video, you sure can drive!

I think its also a tuned ECU and full exhaust to go with that...

Is this the same white car on swift springs?

Paul@AEperformance 11-29-2010 10:11 AM

Thanks again guys,

And to answer the big Q' in terms of mods to the car, espically for ChrownR426 ;) here ya go.

The car was built to Redline's Enthusiast Class spec's which are pretty limited.
You can check the blog for spec's or Redline's site has them posted. We also have a build thread here that has the build of the car from day 1.

Since rules are tight our main focus was chassis developement.

Redline's major rules for the class:
-Dot limited street tire- 285 max
-No weight reduction allowed, all panels and interior cannot be removed.
-No aero.
-No added F/I or major power adders, I.e stroker motor, internals, etc
-2 way dampers max
-3' min ground clearnace (actually had to run the car higher than stock)Terrible!
-Car must be registered and run cats

AE 370 Mods

Engine:
-AE Oil Cooler kit
-AE Exhuast w/ cats
-CAI
-Crank pulley

Drivetrain:
-Lightweight Flywheel
-OS Giken LSD

Chassis

-WEDS TC105N's 18' 9.5/10.5
-JIC 1 way dampers w/ Swift springs (AE rates and valving)
-AP 6/4 Pot kit w/ 2 piece rotors
-Swaybars F/R
-Front upper arms
-Recaro Buckets
-Fire extinguiser

It's a pretty stright forward "bolt-on" car.
We could have done a few more things for power like Tuned ECU, plemium, cam's, throttle bodies but we wanted the chassie right first, so thats were we kept our focous.

Also, I ran each event w/ the ABS disabled, this elminated the imfamous "ice mode" issues we all had w/ aftermakret BBk's. Down side was I'd lose the sport rev-match.

Our goal was to have a car that w/ a few mods can pull fast laps, without sacraficing it as a daily driver on a small budget so our customers can replicate it. Something to drive to work and the track on the weekends

Of the 6 events we ran the car was quick enough for 4 podiums and 1 win in the Class above us, allowing full aero, weight reduction and Forced Induction.

It's pretty cool!

We've mirrored our set-up on a few customer cars already and they are all loving it.

Here's piece Octane Report did on the car as well:

We do run swifts on all of our car's, as well as customers. The latest white 370 on the blog, (which i think your talking about) w/ the white wheels is also on swifts and is in the process on mirroring our Z.
