What needed for daily driving and sometimes track (got sportpackage)?

Hi, thats my first thread, hope you guys can help me. I live in Germany and have soon an US 370z sport package. Heard about some oil temperatur issues. Sadly

Default What needed for daily driving and sometimes track (got sportpackage)?

Hi,

thats my first thread, hope you guys can help me.

I live in Germany and have soon an US 370z sport package. Heard about some oil temperatur issues. Sadly Id like to go sometimes on the track. What parts are dramatically needed, that the car can hold 4-5 rounds around Hockenheimring in Germany?

1. Oil cooler and other oil ? Which? Where to buy?
2. Differential cooler? Which? Where to buy?
3. Brake fluid, brake pads and maybe discs up front? Which? Where to buy?
4. Any other things?

I gonna drive it 96% as a daily car. But remember, I also can go 240+ Km/h on german Autobahn

1. Oil cooler most definitely. 25-row Setrab minimum with thermostatic sandwich plate. No idea where you would get this in Germany.

2. Not necessary unless you decide to be hardcore. Replace the diff fluid with a quality synthetic like Redline. Change it regularly after a couple of track days.

3. Brake fluid should be switch to a high temp fluid, 260C+. Pads should be replaced with track pads, it is not necessary to touch the rotors initially.

4. Drop the tire pressures a little before you start hot lapping as the pressures will rise. This mostly depends on how hard you drive.

EDIT: ChrisSlicks is dead on.. all good advice there, from someone who's been at every level with his Z at the track..

Hi,
I compared the eu-Version and the us-sportpackage Version. It Seems that the eu has differential Pooling fins on their differential OEM. Are any aftermarket fins available for the 370 yet? Because nismo had fins for the 350.

The Australian and Middle-East models have a finned differential housing for a bit of extra cooling, I didn't think that the European models had this.

The Australian/Middle-Eastern models also got a oil-to-water cooler. It was designed to help out with the elevated ambient temperatures, but isn't capable of help with on-track conditions.

Any other differences will be cosmetic.

I think the best color is blue.

Seriously though...

If you can't drive a manual, the best transmission for you is the automatic.
If you hate paddle shifters, the best trasmission for you is the manual.
If you like changing gears with a clutch, the best transmission is the manual.
If you're not an expert driver and want to go as fast as possible, the best transmission is the automatic.
If you think manuals are more fun and you want to have fun, the best transmission is the manual.
If you'd like to worry about an automatic transmission overheating on the track, the best transmission is the automatic.
If you bought the car already, then whatever you got is probably the best.

You're getting a sport package so you'll get the LSD. If you're going to upgrade it to aftermarket, people seem to love the Quaife and Carbonetic options.
