Curious!

Having driven "The Ring" twice (Euro E-36 M3 and 911 Turbo), just curious how previous posters estimated the Z's lap times?

To me it looks like they were smoking some really good shït and then hit random keys on the keyboard

I started by feeling sarcastic and jocular. I then recalled what would be an insanely fast lap time and proceeded to type "7:32".

Fact of the matter is that I've never seen a 370Z 'Ring lap time yet. Wish someone with true skill would get a Z out there and log a fast lap. Looking at Wiki, the Boxster S, Cayman S, and Z4 logged 8:09 to 8:17. The Z should be right around there in professional hands.

I find it bonkers that there is a European Nurburgring edition of the car, yet the car doesn't have an official lap time at the 'Ring.

2 Minutes (To Midnight).

m4a1mustang 10-11-2010 10:58 AM

30 seconds (to mars).

With warp drive engines it can do it in 1/10th of a second.

spearfish25 10-11-2010 11:38 AM

I also guarantee that it can do it in MORE than 7:32.

All I know is, if it doesn't stay above 55 mph, it will explode.

Dnf

With a bone stock 370Z, my estimate is a big fat DNF.

Here are three possible (probable) outcomes:

1. The 370Z would go into limp home mode and get rear ended by Sabine Schmitz in a Ford Transit Van.

2. Going around a hard right sweeper fuel starvation would kick in and the 370Z would be towed off the track by a wrecker.

3. The brakes would go into ice mode right before the carousel and launch the 370Z into the surrounding countryside.

Or maybe some combination of the above:rolleyes:
