Here are three possible (probable) outcomes:

1. The 370Z would go into limp home mode and get rear ended by Sabine Schmitz in a Ford Transit Van.

2. Going around a hard right sweeper fuel starvation would kick in and the 370Z would be towed off the track by a wrecker.

3. The brakes would go into ice mode right before the carousel and launch the 370Z into the surrounding countryside.

Or maybe some combination of the above
I spit my water out all over my monitor.

That's so sad but 100% true.

Well said..

All kidding aside, the limp mode is probably the reason the Z hasn't been around that circuit going balls out.
on saturday after redlining 3 gears 2 consecutive times at at 85 degree weather, the oil temp shot up to 250. It was fvcking ridiculous.

Talk to Sam Strano he can get you all hooked up with the right setup. I think his most recommended setup is a spring and adjustible shock/strut package.

I don't buy the oil cooler being the reason for no 'Ring time. Companies routinely 'trick out' their cars specifically for a good 'ring time. It's easy enough to throw an oil cooler in the car so they can complete a hot lap.

I am sure that they would use the "pre-production" setup to attack the "RING" if they were intent on doing so. Wish we could get that setup from the factory as an option or something. Would be nice, but so are fairy tales.............

That is true if it is the manufacturer testing their own car, but most magazines and 3rd party testers are not going to throw a oil cooler on their test car to do a lap. If it can not complete the cirtuit, too bad for the car hence no "official times".
