VIDEOS: Nismo 370z at the strip
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Nismo just isn't a good drag car period. I found this out last night when I went to the strip. It's due to the fact that there is absolutely no weight transfer due to the stiff suspension. The rear doesn't squat whatsoever... I've made mine even worse by putting lowering springs on it. I made 5 passes my best 60 ft. time was 2.128 and 13.827 @ 102.8. I also ran... 13.840 @ 103.16 13.892 @ 102.86 13.893 @ 102.68 13.934 @ 103.90 So I was fairly consistent. The car just isn't meant to drag. I've dragged many of street cars but just can't launch the Nismo hard enough to get a good ET. Still had fun and was still faster than 90% of the cars up there but was disappointed at the same time. The car would've beat just about anything if we were doing a 30 MPH roll.. oh well need to take it to a road course where it will really shine. Below are some videos of my passes. DA was 2279 so my adjusted best time would be 13.459 @ 104.939. vs. 2008 Z06 vs. car with slicks vs. 2009 EVO vs. Cobra with slicks |
Nice vids, Johnny!
I have to admit, though, your starts were slower than every other car you raced against except the Vette...there's your 60-ft right there.............. |
