I don't need a list to show me how poor MINI's (BMW) reliability is..

Just look at reliability/quality reports on Mini and BMW are consistently rated the worst.

Car Reliability Ratings 2010 ? The 10 Most Reliable Coupes and 2-Door Hatchbacks at Various Age Ranges

Nissan is pretty damn far on that list...not including infiniti of course..its pretty sad seeing some of the manufactures that are above nissan on that list

Infiniti is Nissan. My g35 was a disaster after 5 bose HU's, two window motors, and an engine I had enough.

Z doesn't seem any better , but not any worse. Curious why Infiniti is so high up while sharing most components with Nissan who's relatively low.

FWIW, the 370Z is made in the same factory (Tochigi, Japan) as all of the Infiniti sedans and coupes, so quality should be about the same.

The list compares brands as a whole and not individual models. I suppose many Nissan models don't overlap with the Infinity models. Say a Nissan Versa turns out to be a 'dog' and they have many issues with X component. Nissan as a whole would take a quality drop while Infinity would stay in the clear, irregardless of the Z and G sharing parts.

335i is faster and better in everyway.
Although the 370Z is the winner in looks.

Whatever, try running on a road course and see for yourself.

I'm almost certain that the 370Z out handles the 335i.
But in terms of power we lose.
Both are great cars imo!

390whp is not really comparing stock vs stock... is it? ;)

I test drove a few 335i's before deciding on the Z. They felt pretty equal as far as power is concerned. I just couldn't get over the BMW's bland interior and added cost.

Almost all Infinitis are built in japan. Almost all Nissans are built outside of Japan. I think that has alot to do with quality control. It is better to build things closer to home where you have better control over the process.

Same wth Scions. All Scions are built in Japan. I don't know about Lexus tho. They seem lower than usual in the rankings.

You're looking at this the wrong way. Scion's line-up consists of only 3 cars - all of which are essentially the same car (albeit the TC being a little left of center). Naturally, their reliability ratings will be inflated. The same thing happened with Jaguar and Buick a few years ago - and now that both have added more vehicles to the line-up, they dropped again.
