The 5.0 is the slowest of the three, 5.0/Boss 302/GT500, all three which can take the M3 and be daily driven. Lotus has power and handling so not just picking one or the other. Interior on GM is your opinion, you wanted a track ready car for the price. The C6 Grand sport fits that, if you want I can throw in the Z06 and just tear the M3 to shreds. Honestly, the M3 is a great daily driver but is not a track ready car from the factory for the price you pay. Look at the numbers, the times of any of the cars listed, the M3 is not what it use to be.

why is that you guys feel the need to NOT have an actual discussion? because my views differ from yours? If i wanted to troll i would be arguing how MY car is better than others yada yada. put the Ego aside and converse. I could always say something retrded , like, "your 370z wasnt even on yor own list of cars, so why are you even arguing this? but im not that type of guy. besides. I have enough forum wars going on around here with enough 370's as it is..

You'll note that the Exige still managed to beat the bimmer despite VIR being perhaps the worst track for an Exige. EDIT: Your reply just showed up |

Ok, I'll bite.
I love the M3, but it's not bang for the buck imo. It depends on your measures of success. If you just go by mag time, 0-60, lap times, it's pretty competitive. With around 70-80 extra peak hp on tap, it ought to be faster than a Z, and for twice the price, it ought to be faster than a Mustang. But if you want to talk about "pure sports car" as in, the pleasure of driving, road feel, then almost nothing beats the Miata for the money (all trolling and jokes aside). For 20k, you can buy a tight-suspension FR roadster that'll hang curves and put a huge grin on your face. Now, back to the M3. Stock-for-stock, probably crushes a lot of cars. Dip into the aftermarket, throw a supercharger on the Z or the stang (still coming in under the initial purchase price of the M car), and you may have quite a race. Just my double penny. Thank you for playing. Oh, but if I had the money, I'd rather have the M3 over all of the cars I've listed. |

The new Mustang Boss Laguna Seca edition will waste the M3 and costs under $40K. But I'd still take my Nismo over either of those bloated pigs.

i think it comes down to feel with these cars.
The 370 for example can keep up decent pace with a lot of cars on these lists but it makes it power differently (read not much down low but lots at top end) Same with the M3, its a high revver. The 5.0 does rev high but it makes it power down low and has more torque. Its all about your driving style. I have never been a Mustang person, if i had to have a label, I have always loved Corvettes but I dont like sitting in them. I dont find them comfortable for everyday so I wont have one. I was disappointed at how the 370 NISMO performed at VIR. C&D totaled one due to the brakes......but i like the car over all so thats what i love. This Boss Mustang has got me thinking twice. Main reason I didnt end up with a 335i, service, any little problem with those things you have to go to the dealer, and bills can get quite high if you are out of warranty and i wasnt going to be buying one new. I think this could be the problem with racing nowadays. The cars are so modified to go racing it causes all the people who own the showroom cars to argue which car is better. My simple answer. Next years car is better than what you have..... |
