Default Problem with the electronics and limp mode? on track

I was on track this Friday and two things happened that I'm not sure what's causing it.

1. Oil temp was at about 240-250, I'm sure it's no where near 260. After exiting a corner, I saw the slip light flashes couple times, then suddenly the engine rev got cut down to 5000rpm for a good 2-3 seconds. After pumping the gas couple times it started to rev up again. Is the VDC causing this?

2. Laps later, at the same corner exit, the car behaves as if i let go of the gas pedal completely and starts lowering RPM, 6k, 5k, 4k, 3k, then to 2k!? The car is not responding even when I pump the gas couple times. So I drove off the track on to the dirt. Turn off the engine, start it back on. Then everything returns to normal.

Anybody have any inputs to the two issues I had above? Thanks.

right hand turn? less than 3/4 tank of gas?

Fuel Starvation perhaps...

I vote Fuel Starvation- similar thing happened to me - lost RPM but didn't make it off the track- 1 dot below half- disconnected battery - started after that like nothing happened- future will do two sessions then refill

You are right, less than 3/4 tank, but definately more than 1/2 tank full. And yes right hand turn.

Is this really the cause!? 3/4 tank is 75% ! I have to keep tank that full at all times on track? wow... Thanks for the info.

I'm not a track junkie, but I have read enough fuel starvation threads. I'm voting for fuel starvation too.

Also, the limp mode doesn't kick in till 280F (or 290F I can't recall). 240-250F is totally normal.

It's fuel starvation. This POS will fuel starve after burning only 5-6 gallons!!! WTF!

I hit some pretty long right turns (freeway on ramps) with less than 1/2 tank and never had a problem?

Are you really comparing street driving to track driving? I highly doubt you can pull .8+g's through the turns for over 5 sec +. If you are, you might want to consider the consequences.
