push the skinny pedal all the way down... then release the pedal on the far left in a snapping manor...FTW

yea man, if you just want your time then dont worry about the lights and focus on clutch/gas and have a good launch.

^^^^ Yup Destiny...you sure did give me that advice already...:roflpuke2: I happened to run across this thread shortly after we had our little discussion...Seems that I will have to get more seat time and apply all the advice that's been given...

Didn't make it to the track last Friday...got tied up with some stuff...Besides...it was raining, and didn't want to chance going up there just to get rained out...Not sure if I will make it this Friday...but If not I will make it a point to be up there within the next week or two...I really wish the track was open more often...

As the car moves forward apply more gas and more clutch until it's time to change gears. Remember for the quickest times (Lower E.T.) change gears with the power on (WOT).

This has produced the best results for me. I come from AWD cars where wheel spin is not really an option (unless highly modded). Slip the clutch and not the tires and with a little practice at a 4500rpm launch you can get 1.9 60's on street tires.

I don't recommend the speed shifting above and just have to mention that launching this way will take a toll on your clutch after repeated launches...I run at an 1/8th mile track and turn an 8.71 with a 1.96 60'. Pretty sure a new clutch is in my future after about 25 runs total over the past year.;)
