Very Fast, Very Dangerous, rider must hang on for dear life and control weight distribution to help the bike go through corners effectively.
Lots of injuries are common since neither rider nor driver are attached to the bike, check out accident compilations on youtube

That looks like a blast! I would try that in a heart beat. No, I'm not being a smart azz that really looks fun. haha

You should see them do this on the Isle of Man TT. Crazy!

I don't think I'll sign up for this part. I may drive the bike though but being a turning assistant seems like good way get brain hemorrhage :ugh:. Can you imagine sneezing and losing grip? :wtf2:

Wow, learn something new each day. Never seen this before. They are wearing full racing leathers, so offs should be painless....in theory. :)

Except for the YouTube vids where the 'cars' flip over on them or run them over once they fall off. Some even skid full speed into the tire barricades. Life's too precious to do this :facepalm:

I've seen a couple side car races myself, those "passengers" are completely nuts IMHO. There also is a MotoX version of this:

Well, the leathers will protect from road-rash but they won't keep them from tumbling, flipping and impacts, which cause the most damage. I'm sure these guys are probably trained in how to take spills and body positioning...but still.

Isle of man TT FTW. I think this looks like a blast. Scary as hell but fun. As for offs being painless with leathers, not so much. They help immensely but don't kid yourself, it still hurts to fall off a motorcycle at speed. I've got scars to prove it.
