First 1/4 pass 12.9 @ 106mph

I am very pleased with the car, all mods are listed in sig. It has 6k miles on it, plus i did this pass on the original tires in 90 degree south florida weather.

Very nice 60'...

A/T or M/T?

GZ3 06-18-2010 10:40 AM

wow so you did this with just a CAI, LWflywheel and 4.0x gears...? Stellar driving sir

fullmonty 06-18-2010 12:04 PM

Very good times!

pompey 06-18-2010 12:08 PM

yeah very nice, whats gonna be your next mod after headers and exhaust?

jnaut 06-18-2010 12:33 PM

I will be taking it back to the track in about a month as my headers/exhaust should be in. I am more into the corners but 1/4 mile is fun also. As for whats next idk but prolly going to attack the weight in out cars, new seats, battery etc...

Mercennarius 06-18-2010 04:41 PM

Another bolt on 370Z in the 12s!

Sounds like on a cool night and better tires you should be able to shave a couple tenths off that time. ;)

Trips 06-18-2010 04:45 PM

blue660r01 06-19-2010 07:57 PM

How different are the gears compared to stock?

chuckd05 06-21-2010 01:17 PM

Can you figure out your DA ? Post this on drag times... and there is a section on the listing where you type in the track and the time, and it knows the weather from weather reports and other variables and calculates your exact DA ...

which effects your outcome of the 1/4...

great job though, thats an awesome time. Your 60 foot is great for stock rubber on the 6M ...

tranceformer 06-21-2010 02:52 PM

I was at the track that night as well. According to the DA calculator on dragtimes.com the DA was 2101 at 7pm and 1720 at 11pm.

chuckd05 06-21-2010 03:13 PM

than thats even more impressive... Very nice... We need more times like this the 6m gets talked down upon as the slower 370... mine was about 1800 I think.

Good work sir.

RCZ 06-28-2010 01:30 PM

Damn Jason, you so fast! Shiii dawg, that CF exhaust gonna take like mad thousands off your pass, dawg. Fedex don't deliver after dark, you're like Will Smith in "I am Legend" in that neighborhood.

12.953 @ 108.33 was the best pass for me. It was slower than my 12.8 pass of last year. A bad weather day very humid. I got my 60 ft's down to 2.01 but the computer would not let me brake stand it off the line. It needs a 3000 rpm stall converter and line lock to heat up the 305 drag radials.
My trap was 112.3 mph.
I went to the big track of southern Ontario and i had a blast but it was hard to get traction of the line.
I have an incar vid. will try to post it soon.

RCZ 06-28-2010 04:12 PM

^ yeah and Jnaut is doing it on an MT...he would be in the 12.8 too if he had automatic....with less mods and stock tires too...

Red370 06-28-2010 06:30 PM

I think its high time that all of us anxious forum members see a force induced Z34 tear up the 1320... hint hint....

tranceformer 06-28-2010 08:59 PM

:iagree:

Hey Raul, next time you drop off your car for some work, come by on a Wednesday. ;)

chuckd05 06-28-2010 10:34 PM

Z Elim, I purchased another ABS fuse because the fuse is linked with several other things other than ABS and cut the ABS line... I believe that is what holds the car back from doing stand stills... Did you diable the ABS ?

That was one of my problems last trip... I just went around the water and did not heat my tires at all..

Im going back 7/7 with a goal of beating my 12.9 and im pretty sure I can get it done...

a 2.01 60 is really not all that great.. the potential is still there for a 12.7/6 with a 1.8 60

Z eliminator 06-29-2010 06:47 AM

Can you tell me more about the fuse's?

chuckd05 06-29-2010 12:50 PM

yea, there is a fuse under our hood , its linked to the ABS VVEL and one other component...

I just ordered another one, its a 3 in one fuse... And i popped the top off and cut the ABS fuse.. this way I will have no ABS and nothing to cut off my burnouts that I will do..

I have not actualy tried it yet, but in theory it should definatly work, 350 Im pretty sure has a solitary fuse for ABS but not us..

part number is 24370-c992b

its a 3 part fuse, one being the ABS

vividracing 06-29-2010 06:22 PM

Great Run and nice 60

Z eliminator 07-02-2010 05:54 AM

It's time to get down to some seroius drag racing with this car. I spoke to Sam last night and he has a special surprise for me in my GTM SC. From traction control to a 450 rwhp 7 AT. Never mind the 12's it time to go 11.s,
Once we get the burn out problems solved.
Still the quickist 370 in the 1/4 mile. 12.800.
Should have the SC in 6 weeks.

6 Weeks! Thats sick!

RCZ 07-02-2010 09:15 AM

Which Stage GTM SC kit makes 450whp on the 7AT? Is the special surprise actually hitting target psi? (jk)

QuickEst. I need to go to the track next week to give you a new goal to strive for. ;)

It's the "brake lamp" fuse, you have to pull it on all 350s because of the drive by wire system that's on Zs. I would imagine it's the same one on the 370, if I don't pull the fuse on my 350 and try to do a burnout it will fall on it's face.

If someone tests this please post your findings, i think this could greatly help our our drag crew.

And I'm not talking about the crew that dresses up in their wife's clothing!

Mercennarius 07-03-2010 02:06 AM

Why go with a supercharger setup rather then a turbo setup?

jnaut 07-03-2010 11:04 AM

going back to the track in 3 weeks, going for 12.7 pass i need to beat z eliminator. raul get ur car ready!!

Z eliminator 07-03-2010 03:35 PM

Go for it. Its really hard to go 12.7 in a N/A z with bolt ons.
Im going to the track next wednesday night.
I wish you good luck.
