First 1/4 pass 12.9 @ 106mph

If you have a bad run you should just kill it. No point in continuing the run, especially with the VHR and it's heat. I usually decide by the 330'

I usually decide by the 330' (if I haven't decided already in the 60') whether or not I'm going to keep going or just kill it and coast. I have a lot of 17-20 second runs @ 50 mph.

What are you launching at? Do you still bog down with the ET Streets?

ET Streets will take a 5k RPM clutch drop from a modded 5.0 Mustang, so I'm guessing you could be at damn near redline and drop the clutch and go in the Z, assuming the rear end held together (which it wouldn't). So you might be right about the NT05s for now.

Also, have any of you guys tried removing the front sway bar for your runs?

I ran a 12.95 @ 111.8 tonight. (all night long with 2.05 to 2.09 ) 60ft times. I ran the tire's at 27 lb and did monster burn outs at 7000 rpm in 3rd gear. When i got to the line and launced at 1800 rpm the car bogged all night long. 305 ,35 , 18 mickey thompson drag radials
I finnally figured it out and did a 1.955, 60 ft time and i hit the limiter in 1st and 2nd gear. It ran a 13.09. What a waste of a good 60 ft time.
The 7 AT need's a 3200 rpm stall! torque converter. not one that spins the tires a 1800 rpm and the ECU kills the motor. ( I ordered mine today.)
The air temp was great tonight but I had some missed shift's tonight with the paddle shifters. it would have gone easy 12.74 tonight, May be next time.
There was a GTR at the track with a phase 2 Cobb tune in it 11.47 or an 11.27 @ 128 . No helmet on the driver . They kicked him out and sent him home. He made 3 passes before they got him.

thats funny you say that about the GTR , same thing at englishtown... a guy ran 11.2 and than he had to slam on his breaks afterwards.. they didnt pick up on it, but he was stoked about the 11.2 so he didnt care... he had tune and filters. he did an 11.8 stock he said...

On my 13.07 I bounced off redline in third... I go through the damn 1/4 while being in 4th for like 1 second, its not very ideal ...

Believe it or not my best launch was launching from 2k and just feathering it hard... I dumped and bogged, dumped and spun, than settled to do what I do on street tires and it worked.. I left there bummed though but 13.0 isnt awful just not what I wanted... same as Z ...

Also, what would removing the strut bar do ?

Another odd piece of info is my best time was ran on my open diff before I swapped for the VLSD where I was pulling 2.0 or better the whole day.. today I got a 2.05 on my best run and a 2.3 and 2.2 ... terrible on ET streets.. they are going for sale tomorrrow and grabbing more streetable drag radials...

Prob wont go back until I do the flywheel and gears or LTH .. same outcome too much lately

Chuck sounds like you to be more agressive on your launches. But good times ! Steve how long until the converter?

Also chuck with the gears you will be deep into 4 going through the trap.also IMO the LSD prolly hurt you as you just put a little more rotating weight in the drive line. Most open diffs will put down power to both tires in a straight line but not in a turn that's what the LSD does.

I have not as I try and run the car the way I drive it on the streets. But removing it assist in weight transfer plus remove some weight off the front end!

Man i really want to install my carbonetics, as i hate slipping one tire in a corner. But at the cost of straight line speed? Hrrmmm..

Im sure ill do it when i get gears. But i hate the thought of being slower in a straight line, even by a small margin.

the open diff always left one strip... ill deal with a tougher launch in exchange even for the oem vlsd.. best $ spent thus far...

I def do need to be more aggressive, if i had a few more passes i woulda gotten better.. last two of the three were both high 2.0s with only 2k feather... first launch was from about 4.5 and spun way too much but didnt heat them nearly enough...

Next time Im going on the nt05s though,, since its what i am used to.

Just got back from the track. It was a major event and the track prep was perfect.
I cut a 1.924 60 ft and ran a 12.882 @ 112.64
2nd pass 2.041 60 ft and ran a 12.866 @ 112.59
3rd pass 2.019 60 ft and ran a 12.875 @ 112.44
Now for the bad news. on the first run my tires spun at the line before the light went green and i got warned not to tear up the rubber at the starting line. That how i got the 1.924 60 ft time. It should have gone faster but the shift into 3rd was not a good one, not sure why. That should have been a 12. 72 run or faster,
Car ran well tonight i dynoed it last night and it made 308 rwhp with the stock fuel curve. when i put my own map in it really came to life.
Now the good news Sam called me and I should have the 3200 stall torque converter in 2 weeks.
My last run was against a 10 second fire bird . Got killed but he red lighted. Lost by 2.25 seconds. Man are those guys fast. Next time i go the track im bring the stock 19 275's rear tire's

Since your car has an AT, by a bad shift do you mean you shifted early? If not, what happens?
