well.... raul u and i both i was faster than u before the sc. hahaha but seriously ultimately i plan on a big bore set-up which the headers will be perfect.

eliminator, that may be case with shumbys car but u cant compare sc to n/a.

but yes over all i do feel you will lose low end tq with headers. so i supplemented the lack of tq with gears.

What did you want to see on the time slip. It strange that the car only had a G3 intake, stillen exhaust and berk cats on with the stock rev limiter set at 7500 on the 12.8009 pass.
Now that it has the stillen headers and makes 19 rwhp more my best pass now is 12.92.
It now has trapped at 113. vs 110.3 on that run. When i look at the dyno i have lost hp and torque between 4800 to 5900 rpm. but have gained power from 5900 to 8100. With the headers, tune, and pulley.
It s hard to belive it gone quicker on the stock 19 inch tires VS the drag radials.
I feel that the the performance of the car is governed by the outside air temp, humidity and oil temps. When the outside air temp is between 50 to 55 degtress out side my car comes to life and it just screams. ( it sounds different ).

Not trying to attack you, but for you to trap 113 mph that is a hell of lot of hp/tq. i feel there might have been drama with the computer system at your track. i would constantly trap 114mph running 11.9/12.0 in my mustang. yes i do understand the cars are totally different, but hp to weight is the same.

I was there when he ran 13.0's why is it so hard for you to believe he did a 12.8? Because you can't?

First no one believes him and wants time slips now it's "something must have been wrong with the computer"

I was at the track tonight with a guy that owns a Honda bike. The best he had ever done was a 11.3 something tonight he did a 10.77, although something must have been wrong with the computer lol!

chuckd05 08-13-2010 10:34 PM

Jnaut, Im going to the track in 2 weeks... trying to best my 12.94 .... Battle for the fastest 6 speed is on my friend , I think I still have u beat by a few hundreths! lol

Im so angry at myself for not throwing 4.08's in my VLSD pumpkin I installed... I ran my 12.95 with the open diff than threw the VLSD in, I should of done the gears...

How did your car like the flywheel ? I just un installed my pulley and am contemplating the flywheel next .... Is the chatter bad with the Fidanza ?

Sibze 08-13-2010 10:40 PM

O jeez 12.95 there must have been some "drama" with the computer!

Edit: Chuck that was directed back at jnauy not you! I trust your time!

I know right, sometimes my space bar doesn't work right. My girl thinks it's because all of the times I came on the keyboard looking at porn, but I told her my computer was just loaded with too much drama.

Seriously though, that comment was:

did you read my post??:icon14: i never once said i dont believe he ran 12.8's . i was only questioning the validity of a 113 mph trap speed. and not due to him lying but the reliability of the computer clocking the trap speed.

yes, chuck there is input shaft rattle!! it is most noticeable after the car has been driven for a while and if you go through a drive through it echos pretty good off the wall. i deff would have put the gears in especially with and open diff, no srm drama. but good luck!! ill be back the wednesday.

It may or may not be the case now, but computers screw up from time to time.

Example, my last trip to the track my 1/8 mile trap speeds were: 144, 131, 332, 101, 200. And my Z is stock. :icon17:

I don't have a roll cage so I coasted down the rest of the track to 13.6@103mph. :roflpuke2:

Here's the time slip June 27, 11.32 am.
60 ft 2.091
330 / 5.64
1/8 / 8.485
mph / 85.66
1000/ 10.958
1/4 / 13.006
mph/ 112.08

I can not find the 113 mph trap time slip but Sibze was there.
Here is the 112.08 trap run.

You should look at my dyno's 320.1 rwhp @ 7300 rpm and 302 @ 7850 and its a 7 AT.
The air temp was 62 degrees and the RH was 57 %,
I could not do burn outs as i had not pulled my brake fuse.
The colder it is the faster it runs. I can not wait for a cold night in mid october.
" i would never post a false time in this post. "
In Septmber the Z club drag day will be held in St Thomas race way and its a faster track than where im running now.
The track i run at now is the best track in Canada.
Chris goes to the track with me all the time and he watches all my time's and takes videos for me
He will be posting my 2 runs last time i went to the track.
