K1 speed
so over the weekend a few of my friends, fiance and I went to k1 speed for my birthday in sd. i took the gopro to test it out since i just got it. i mounted it in various places on the car and my helmet to get a bunch of ngles, so obviously you just see me racing against everyone else. we had a blast and i set best time of the day that day :happydance: haha anyways if this thread needs to be moved please do so. i just thought it was a good place to put it since it is on the track

wow man, that's amazing. I'm going to try out my go pro first time in about two week at NJMP Karting. I kart regularly here at NJMP. It's the outdoor track.
So, few questions a. Did you use suction mount on the helmet? b. The video editing was great and you were able to retain full screen 720p. What software did you end up using? Karting is so much fun! :driving: I can Kart all day! |

a. i did not us the suction cup mount. i used one of the curved double sided sticky tape mount and the 2 extensions that came with the gopro. i can take a pic of it on the helmet if you would like. i did use the suction cup mount to mount the gopro onto the gokart itself though. b. im using sony vegas platinum 9 and render the video in 720p hd format to keep it in hd form. it was only my second time using the program ever and thought it couldve came out better but im still learning. thank you for helping me out again ak, you were a huge help and ill take a pic of the helmet mount for you |
here you go ak. you can see the double sided taped mount (curved) mounted on the helmet. i also used the extension arms used that were included with the gopro motorsports

You're welcome. I am going to check out the Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9 Platinum Edition software. Looks like it'll do the job for me too.
Thanks  EDIT: THanks for the pictures. I'm going to mount the camera right now on to my helmet! |
Sweet,
So that was 720p at 60 Frames/sec? or 1080 At 30? I just got one myself and have been trying out different settings. |
