I expect Schumi to pull it together before the end of the season. If they can get a grip on the tire wear I think he'll pick up a lot. Speaking of tires.. I think two suppliers could be an interesting change. How long ago was it that we went to a sole tire supplier? Was it like 2007?
2005 was the last season that Michelin was still there.
Since 2006 Bridgestone is the sole supplier...

I agree it was nice to see the internal competition to see who had the better tires for the race...

He passed more cars in the field then any other driver and made it to the 2nd podium spot after 4 pits!! It's also alright for Alonso to be aggressive and nip his own teammate entering the pits. We won't talk about his shady backround w/ Renault.
Aggression on the "track" is one thing! Aggression in the pits and pit lane endangering pit crew members is another! He needs to control himself in the pits, from entrance to exit!

I don't think we need another tire war. The manufacturers just end up pushing the limits trying to make the best tire and it becomes a safety issue. They should have one supplier and one compound per weekend.

I guarantee that if they ran super-soft tires that wouldn't last more than 25% of the race distance the racing would be 100 times better.

But that was what F1 used to be about, a race of technology....
Now they have rules and limits as they wanted to make it more of a drivers race...

I liked the technology combined with drivers race a lot more....

The technology is great, for sure, but they need to make sure they're putting butts in the seats and people are buying their merchandise. F1 has to be exciting again, not just from a technological standpoint.

All I'm saying is give them soft tires. The cars can remain as high tech as ever, but with soft tires that won't go more than 25% of the race distance things will get very, very interesting.

And we really have to be realistic about the tire wars... they are dangerous. Every series that has ever had a tire war has almost gotten drivers killed because of it.

I don't know if you ever followed NASCAR before, but they switched to a single tire supplier after the tire war between Hoosier and Goodyear got really, really dirty in the late 80s. They were running tires that should never have been on track and hurt a number of drivers.

Michelin was really pushing the envelope towards the end of their most recent entry in F1... it was about to become pretty vicious. As cool as a tire war sounds, it is just way too dangerous.

I agree, but I can recall multiple other drivers doing the same exat thing trying to exit first!
My point was to make a statement about Hamilton becoming a danger to everyone is a bit extreme considering all the other drivers that have done that same exact thing!!!!
You missed my point!!

I too do not like the "Spec Sport" changes!! One of many reasons I do not watch NASCAR.
