its not jealousy to be suspicious of the 1.6 60ft time. alot of cars with more power and tq dont even pull that. i hate the tearm freak of nature. but its true not all engines are created equal. 8.2 and 1.60 60ft. i dont think even Zterm got that good a 60ft and dont remember his 1/8 time. but your time is faster than most hfc/intake/drag tire modded Z's.
but like i said C&D took it to a 13.1@108 stock. and they are not always known for the best 1/4 times. heck they took a ls1 bird/maro one year and made it run a horrible 13.7 in the review. Last edited by jtown82; 04-10-2010 at 10:06 PM. |

My 60 ft times on stock 19 ich tires was 1.9640 and my 1/8 th was 8.3230 @ 86.36.
The 1/4 was 12.8009 @ 110.33 It's a 7 At with 292 WRHP for that run. The times he posted seem a little quick for i can not cut those 60 ft times on stock tires. What air preasure did you run?

Before that run, i brought it down to 35 psi (hot). When I checked it the following morning it was about 32-33 all around. I read a post where someone said they brought it down to 27. That seemed a little low to me (I had a long drive home lol), although it would've probably been a good idea later on since I wasn't catching traction till 3rd gear.
Nice trap/time on that run, eliminator. Are you stock? I haven't dyno'd mine yet or researched average WHP for stock 7AT's so I'm sorry if that question was a bit amateur. Last edited by Jason; 04-11-2010 at 02:14 PM. |

im thinking 255 rwhp is like a ave baseline rwhp stock seen some hit 260 and i think like one person hit 270? but Zterm isnt stock. thats why i brought him up. because you basically ran a faster 1/8th that him when he has a few mods.
i dont even see a 370z with slicks doing a 1.60 60ft. it just doesnt have the tq to pull it in stock form. id have to guess 1.8 or a 1.77/79 would probly be the max in stock form. either the timer at that track malfunctioned or they gave you a wrong slip or you have a true Freak engine in your Z. and im by no means hating. just alot of us who are avid drag racers know what it takes to cut 1.6 and such 60fts you need to get your car on a dyno. I hear ya, j. I’m not claiming its right either, nor was my intention to brag. I don’t care much for racing anymore and just went out to have a good time. I would’ve posted a thread about my experience if I only managed to pull 9+.
My other runs averaged 1.9-2 second 60’ times, so it’s all possible (hoping for the freak engine part). I’m pretty sure it wasn’t the wrong slip because my buddy’s run was on par with his others. But I have seen some impossible-looking slips due to timer malfunction so I won’t rule that out. I’ll probably bring this thread back from the dead or create another whenever I dyno or 1/4 mile track this thing. |

Wow 1.6 60 fts. The best I managed with my 300+AWHP STi was a 1.75 60ft on VERY sticky RE070's on all four corners, same tires as the Nissan GT-R.
Even with slicks with our IRS rear suspension, it's hard to swallow 1.6 60ft. |

dont worry jason. i dont think anyone is trying to say your bragging or making anything up. those computers somekinds give off the wall times. if you look on dragtimes.com the guy who has the 13.1 or the 2nd fastest 370z on there. look at his 1/8 trap 23mph.
more than likely it glitched and it it uses the 60ft 1/8th and 1000ft to calculate your time. if one gets scewed all of them can be affected by it |

60' time aside, is the 8.2@83.3 believable stock? Trap speed looks good, but then again I had an 86 trap on another run with a higher ET. How is that possible?
RE070's are sweet. I think my friend's S2000 CR came with those. |

hard to say. but i would have to say 8.2 is to quick for stock. these cars dont have the tq stock to pull hard down low. i think pretty much a high 8.3 would probably be the lowest possible. pretty much looks like 8.4 to 8.5 is on the good side.
and if your spinning off the line your trap will sometimes increase but you obviously will get a slower time. i cant really tell you or explain all the physics behind it but it happens often. |

8.2 is definitely too quick. I think 8.6-8.8 at that mph is much more likely. My guess is there was a delay from when the start laser was tripped to when the et started recording.
