Have played with the cobb and nissan advanced my timing 2 degrees. Also changed the throtle settings with the cobb, that really woke up the 4.08 gears. This thing just screams now. I have trouble shiffting at 7800 as it goes through the grears like lightning. 0 to 85 KM is way faster than before. I just love the paddle shifter's the drag radials should be here friday and im going to dyno on the 18 inch 305 , 35 18 mickey thompson drag radial 11. Will post dyno next week. It feels twice as fast with my butt dyno than before/

I have a co-worker who has a SS and wants to run one weekend at the track. I have looked at the test run against the mustang vs the camaro and the mustang vs 370. The numbers are very close with the Z getting the mustang but I have not seen any runs of the Z vs the SS. Although the camaro has almost 100 horses more than the Z, it also has the extra weight that goes along with the camaro. The V6 Camaro has 300 horses, but I'm sure it would not run with the Z. If the camaro is faster, I won't know how much until I am up against it. I guess we'll have to see who hooks up first....and if it's me, I'm sure he will have to work to catch me.
I don't really believe it'll be a blow out, by no means. |

I'm a big muscle car fan, most of my previous cars have been mustangs or camaros.
But we all know that the muscle cars of today are not what the used to be. I you see the reviews between the camaro ss vs challenger rt vs mustang gt, they all say that the mustang gt is the better fo the 3 cars even with the least power of the bunch. and the 370z beat the mustang gt in all of the reviews dane to the these day. i as many of you gauy bought the 370z because of its history, the uniqueness that it has on the road and the potential that it can achive, but to get there it needs way more money. thats why you see a dozen different types of mustangs on the road. the 370z is the best car of the 4, even right now you see some 350z's that make you turn around because it looks so good, but mustangs and camaros are like starbucks or mcdonald's, there are one in ever single corner. still love them, but i would buy another one unless is a classic, a true nuscle car. imo

I say a Z with a good driver could get him, but the Z driver would need to have greater skill than the Camaro driver, if the Chevy driver is any good he should win.

12.874@109 stock 2010 maro SS. you would be a tad to cocky if you think it would be no problem. they have launching issues but if they hook up there 12 second cars stock. and though im not a fan of them they also take very well to mods. exhaust, intake and UD pulley and nittos netted one a 12.4@111mph. equally driven the SS should be quicker in the 1/4 but if there just a gas pedal puncher and they just spin. you will have them beaten. much like any cars that are somewhat similiar in 1/4 times. but you mostly find the new camaro to be a few tenths quicker and a couple mph faster stock for stock. and you think there is a bunch of them right now?.... wait till the new 2011 stang GT comes out in late 2010. they will be like a plague of locust.... |

Feels really heavy and slow in it's transient response. Overall not a bad looking car but not for me.

True, they are much faster and much more competent road cars.

I hate the saying its drivers race, but it really is with the Camaro stock. So many other factors fall into play for both cars.

Dynoed the car last night with all the N/A mod's, 310 SAE or 320 actual rwhp.
Car is running a little lean. It accelerates much faster than before. If all goes well the 1/4 mile calculator says that it will 12.49 to 12.52. (18 SAE + RWHP = the car will be 32lbs lighter than last years weight + the drag radials) Will post time's after the track open's in April,
