13.165 @ 108.85 mph with HFC, SRI
I went out to San Antonio Raceway last night and had a blast running my 370z down the 1/4 mile. The NT05 tires I got mounted are so sticky I had some major wheel hop on the first and third run. Scared the $hit out of me. I launched from 1500 and let out the brake straight to full throttle. Got some nasty wheel hop thought I was going to break my rear diff so I got of the throttle shifted to 2nd back into full throttle, more wheel hop so I botched the run and coasted to the end of the track at like 59mph. I didn't get any wheel spin just the wheel hop when launching too hard.
After that buttered the launch and rolled into the throttle until 3500-4000rpm then WOT through 4th ran low to mid 13's all night trapping consistent 108-109mph! Best time for the night was 13.165 2.04 60'ft @ 108.85 mph. The fastest trap speed and time was 13.23 2.18 60'ft @ 109.49mph. I really need to work on my launch I never got my 60'ft in the 1.9x range and most of the night is was above 2.1x. I think I will be able to run a high 12 if I can launch correctly. I need a lot of practice but the car runs great I was so impressed with it only having ERZ HFC, and (SRI) Takeda Intake. I thought the SRI Intakes did nothing for our car but look and sound good, 109.49mph trap cough, cough. Hoping for 111mph trap once I add the Invidia Gemini CBE. My wife videoed my runs but the camera is not all that great. Still cool to watch I will try to get those up later. Here are some stats on other vehicles that ran last night. 2010 Hennessey (Supercharged) Camaro 12.6 (Sorry can’t remember the Trap Speed) C5 Corvette LTH(Cat less), CBE, Intake Tune 12.6 @ 112mph 2005-2009 Mustang Exhaust, Intake 14.5 @ 98mph I have a video of the Hennessey Camaro’s 12.6 run against the 2005-2009 Mustang Exhaust, Intake 14.5 @ 98mph. The Mustang was not having a good night he didn’t even break out of the 14’s and it was definitely a V8 you could here it in the video.

Those Takedas are likely robbing you of some power. Replace them with G3s or Injens and I bet you'll pick up some time.

Your probably right but I think I am going to stick with them for now. I want to complete the system with an after market CBE and a tune. Then maybe later down the road get a long tube intake.

It's definitely going to be worthwhile. You'll be going from a system that shows no gains (and sometimes a loss) on a dyno with the hood open (read: with the hood closed you're losing power) to a system that shows peak gains of up to 18 whp (Stillen G3).

Way too high 38psi. Its funny I checked the oil, clean out my filters, reset my ECU, but forgot to check the tires. Would this explain my wheel hop issue on hard launches?

I didn’t see any other Z’s out there in fact not very many tuner cars. A few Cobalt SS’s one of them ran a 13.0x. I didn’t get a chance to see what he had on his car, but it sounded pretty modified. I did see a Corvette C6 LS2 run 13.0x @ 113mph he was having launching issues as well, wheels were custom but I couldn’t tell if he had any performance parts. Quote:
You have brought up a good point about my Intakes so I am going to run a test next time I go the track, which will be after I get the Exhaust installed. Takeda Intake Performance TEST: I will swap the stock intake back on, reset the ECU and run the car 5 times. Then pull off the stock intake put the Takeda back on (At the track same night), reset the ECU and run the car 5 more times. If my car runs slower with the Takeda on then I will probably go back to the stock intake until I can get a Long Tube Intake. I hope it does well because I love the way they look and sound.
