Odd question: CJM RRP vs 2 piece brake rotors

I did an upgraded pump and the hat when my hat broke. I'm able to run down to like 1/4 with no issue at autocross. I haven't been back to the track since I made this change but I suspect the more powerful pump is able to pull better siphon nearly eliminating this problem.

Phunk recommended it as the best available alternative when his v1 was discontinued and his v2 is not ready, so that seems like the best vouch u can get

Im just waiting for the v2 rpp

Get a brake fluid tester from amazon or anywhere. They are pretty cheap ~$10usd+ fresh batteries and will save you worrying about too much water. Also Castrol SRF fluid is much less water absorbent the RBF and works just as good but it costs more. Either way I would not recommend you go out on the track without a track brake fluid, that little headache can costs you a lot if your brakes fail at the wrong time.

I can vouch for the Radium unit also. Install instructions were great, and car ran down to 0 dots on the gauge at full tilt at Road America (including through the carousel, with aero)

They discontinued the kits that included pumps (great, because that was really hard to navigate) and now have the kits available where you have to supply your own pump.

The kit made for the 450lph walbro pumps are quick to ship out, and the pump is like $100 separately.

Ah, that's good to hear. Okay, I guess I need to do a little more research on the radium units then and I'll probably head down that route unless there's any word from CJM. Thanks for your input!

I do remember Charles' reply to an FB post complaining about extended wait time for CJM RRP (3rd party vendor incorrectly shows "in stock", not CJM's fault), that if one can't wait for the RRP, the Radium unit is an alternative.

I haven't gotten the chance to run with 200TW tires and the brake ducts yet, but hopefully that will fend off any fade or fluid boiling issues.

I have been looking at the radium "kit" over the weekend, but it seems much less self-contained than phunk's RRP and somehow they made the install seem more complicated thank what I've read up on the RRP. Not sure what's going on there.

I think I'm going to skip the Z1 hydramat option. The collective knowledge seems to indicate that going with some kind of surge-tank design is the move.

I haven't been running RBF because it's still a sort of daily driven car (less and less with each passing week) and I didn't want to deal with the more frequent bleeds since it absorbs a bit more water than the standard fluid.

Other than being a bit less shiny, any thoughts from any of you on the Radium unit? Does it work as well? My next few months are looking like absolute shite (back to working 80-100hrs/week), so I feel like it's probably worth waiting for phunk to bring some goodies to the table (phunk if you read this, pretty please???).
What fluid are you using? Are you bleeding some
Of that fluid out after each track day? If not then spend the money once and do srf.
