I'm guessing you're comparing apples to oranges. Because Castrol SRF is top shelf. That DOT 4 fluid (ATE?) is probably 536F dry boiling point and likely around 375F wet boiling point. SRF is 590F dry and 518F wet. Big difference...

Hit up Mike Upton on FB he sells a vinyl clear hose for the Clutch MC- reservoir that wont disintegrate and cause premature wear on your MC.
Oil quality is one of the main factors in MC life. Another thing after a good run is a pinky oil temp check of your reservoirs to determine if you need to switch to a better fluid. I kind of hate switching multiple parts all at once since it'll be difficult to pinpoint the actual fault but for the sake of "while we're in there" I understand. |
