Well, the correct equation is a=F/m. But I see where you're going with this. Obviously there should be some benefit to acceleration if you increase horsepower. However, my question was aimed more at quantifying this improvement. Car and Driver lists statistically significant improvements of 0-60 times at differences >=0.3s
