As the thread title says, went to the local drags last night, huuuuuge turnout, it was a "Street Race" themed event day, no tree lights or E/T clocks, just a flag man and people racing for bragging rights, heres a few pics and a vid of me taking a shyt on a Nismo 350, hope yall enjoy.

the car filming me is a Nismo 350Z with full bolt ons, listen to him and his girlfriends remarks as I pulled car length after car length on them :rofl2:

No helmet and you can take passengers? Thats awesome... The girl in the Z slows that car down by atleast 1/2 car length but nice W either way. He seemed to ease off way too easily in the beging but you def pulled the whole time. Thumbs up on repping the 370 and doing what should be done esp beating the 350. Hopefully that vid will be on my 350.

Yeah, its pretty chill here, they really dont give a shyt how you race. Neither of us launched completely, they dont prep the track well, so launching almost always results in terrible grip from the get go, plus our street tires in the cold dont grip as it is. No times, the clocks and light tree were disabled for the "street" theme. He usually owns alot of people with that car, and to be honest I was a little nervous to race him, I was happy in the end to win, and win by as much as I did.:tup:

Do you know if this was posted on my 350 . com because every time i go there and see countless 350z heads bashing the 370. Saying they walk them, not impressed, etc. etc.

This is rock solid proof that the 370 is superior as it is a 0-100+ run with a clear outcome, all though is bothers me that the 350 has a passenger and you dont BUT the difference wasnt that much to warrant that changing the outcome of the race..

and was that a nismo 350 or a regular one .. and when you say full bolt ons, im guessing he had intake, exhaust, test pipes, tune ? or more ?

I'm not going to post it to talk shyt, the guy that filmed was a friend of mine who just needed a reality check :) The additional 100 lbs would not have changed the outcome of the race which can be seen by my 5 car length win. If you feel like it, you're more than welcome to post my vid and give them a taste of humble pie, but i'm not going to do it. And by full bolt ons I mean intake/header/exhaust/hfcs/plenum spacer...

HEY A KILL VIDEO! Cool, nice of your local track to host such an event though I would have still rocked a helmet, anything else on the Z other than HFC's and intake?

No intake yet, thats what my tax return is for :) i'll be doing that along with the stillen cbe. Should be even more of a track beast. Only time i'll ever wear a helmet is for time attack, dont really see the necessity for the straight line.

08 350s can't have a spacer .

I don't know why 350Z owners act like that. My friend has 350z. I think its the VQ35DE 35th Year? I know its not an HR because he has 1 intake with the notsral on his bumper. Anyway my non broken in Z pulls on his in 5th gear from 2500 - 4000 rpms at half throttle. He has volk ce28n, intake, and exhaust and when we did this little experiment, I know I didn't go full throttle because I am braking my car in. He said he went half throttle as well in 5th gear until I let off. Wether he is telling the truth or not, I pulled about half a car length and let off. I have seen the VQ35HR's run 13.1's stock though out at Fontana before and at Qualcomm I have seen them beat LS2 Vettes stock. All gonna depend on the driver of course because I know I culd never achieve a 13.3 in my stock Z.

it's an hr doesn't matter if its a nismo or not it's the same motor and bolt-ons rules out any effect of the crappy nismo exhaust.
