Lift at high speed?
Hi all,
I had a recent trip to the track where car was up to 200 km.h on main straight. I noticed that "slip" light was very slightly flickering-like rear wheels were slipping, and barely noticeable power loss(or maybe it was in my head). Car is a base model-has no wing. Otherwise car is neutral I wonder if someone else had similar experience-on car with or without rear wing. Thank you, Alex |
Check your brake reservoir level. Fill to the Max line. Low level will cause traction light(s) to flash under acceleration.

Also check your rear pads. On the topic of lift, the base car does have a small bit of lift. The sport with the spoiler and the front under chin piece will neutralize the lift, but idk up to what speeds. Without a vented hood, airflow into the engine can cause lift. Also make sure your undertray and wheel well plastics are secure; it actually helps direct air flow. Don't be like some of these clowns and take them off. I have a Nismo V1 with a vented hood and the car stays very stable at high speed.

Thank you guys. No, brake pads and fluid level are fine, I track car for many years and have those things buttoned down.
I have removed those little plastic things in front of the front tires-like mudflaps. All other plastic shielding, wheel liners are intact. I do not know if I have chance this year to go back to that track, other tracks won't get to 200km/h, but I will put those flaps back on. It is out of the question to test it on public road. Alex |
