Z1 Fuel anti-starve pump yes or no? advise welcome
I have been using my daily for light track duty at the local track (MSR Cresson TX) and have only run this in a CCW direction aka mostly left turns and no right sweepers at all.
I am now signed up for an event with a CW direction that will be mostly right turns and one much longer continuous right turn. I am on 300tw tires and what I have read on Z1s site says the issue is with better tires on. I'm not an expert driver but i also don't want any hesitation due to worry. Do i need to be concerned with fuel starve if i keep it full after each session (25 ish min max)? Any advise is welcome. Just don't want to spend money where its not necessary. |
If you don't want to spend the money. Keep your tank full. I have the CJM, RRP kit. Love it.

I ran Sebring and got fuel starved during my 4th 25min session. I was full at the beginning of the day and before that session i recall i was somewhere between 1/4-1/2 full. Tw is 380 i believe.

Thanks for the input everyone. I think i'll just make sure to keep it as full as possible vs a 500$ adventure. There is a gas station 200 yards from the grid area so i'll just keep it as full as possible between sessions.

Your tophat can be failing and make the issue worse. mine was leaning at 20+ degrees and fuel starving at over 3/4 tank. I had to fuel up after every session, and I still fuel starved. I bought the CJM RRP, Top Hat, built a fuel return system and upgraded my pumps. Now I'm 100% lol
