Nice driving! Those sharp corners where you loose the headlights are freaky because you can't see the track and you have little to no depth perception. Driving at dusk is by far the hardest for me. To many shadows and my vision is just not any good anymore at low light as it really effects my depth perception.

Hotrodz, thanks for the compliment. COTA can be intimidating in the day light. I was glad I had a few hundred laps on it before doing it at night. I must have been doing something right, my best night lap time was just one second slower than my best day lap. One could argue I’m not that fast the daylight, but I was happy to get close at night.

Paul Newman was asked to drive endurance races late onto his life because he had great night vision and could turn fast and consistent lap times in the dark. You just need to find you a race team. LOL

So, went back to PittRace last Thursday for another Track Night in America. Was able to knock about 20 seconds from my fastest time last month. Now that I am more familiar with the track, I can push a little harder. Still not one with the Z, but getting closer.

Here is a picture and video from then...at about 4:33 in the video, you can see a Beaver try to cross in front of me. Fortunately, I saw it coming and was able to beep the horn to get him to stop.

Ran another two days, this time at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana. To be entirely fair, it's a bit of a boring track, even in Roval configuration. It's fast, and that's about it, so you just point and go and point and go. I was too scared to take the banking full tilt, and consequently only hit about 125mph at the front straight before I lifted.
