Any Track Photos?

Saw another G37, so here's another of the fat Z at Thunderhill.

6 track days in, and the 7 speed auto seems to be holding up ok. It's definitely rougher than I remember it being, but I only ever run when the temperature is cold so that probably helps a little.

Some photos of my track time last year at Queensland raceway (Australia) took out street tuned Naturally aspirated title at our Japanese nationals. And runner up in the Queensland sprint series to a 997 GT3.

Hmmm ....

Last weekend was Round 1 of the Victorian State Circuit Racing Championships at Sandown Raceway in suburban Melbourne (AUS).

I could only attend on Sunday and missed quali on Sat and so started RoG on Sunday morning.

I battled rear brake lockup (with no more adjustment to bias forwards) as I had to replace the rear calipers at late notice (old calipers had seen 19 seasons of faithful service and I could not get a rebuild kit as NLA). To show how sensitive these things can be, the replacement caliper pistons (4-piston calipers) were 1mm larger in diameter and that was enough to disturb the balance to the extent that I ran out of front bias.

Anyway - the rears were chattering under brakes pretty much all the time and a fluffed down-change lead to a compression lock and around she went.

The guy in P2 got a bit more than he bargained for but we did not touch and I finished P2 for the race.

It's an eye opener to look at everyone coming at you through the windshield.

Did back to back track weekends at Road Atlanta then Atlanta Motorsports Park. Didn't have anyone taking photos at the first event, but here are some from the second weekend.

275/40/18 on 18x10.5 +15 all the way around

Poster my daughter got me from our weekend at MSR Houston. She has the PG 2015 370Z Sport and I have the 2016 Nismo. Best weekend of the year!

Has anyone else had this happen to them? I think the Nissan branded Akebonos are red, so probably not, but mine (the Infiniti ones) have heat faded from Silver to Gold. It's pretty sweet.

My reman calipers are starting to turn gold a little bit but not nearly that bad.

You must have cooked those things to get them that color :O
