track day oil change intervals

Hey just was just trying to get some suggestions on how often to change the fluids such as tranny/diff/oil and what brand you guys have experience with.

My schedule last year was mobil 1 oil changing it at 5000km with 3-4 track days and tranny/differential annually at roughly 10,000km with motul fluids.

I change oil every 3~4000 miles with Mobil 1 0w40. Change everything else once a year with Motul. Bleed brakes twice a year.

I change my oil every 3K mile or so or two track days which every comes first. I change other fluids as Mr. Rusty has suggested. I'm boosted so I run Eneos 0w50 and I use Castro SRF for the other fluid needs.

What oil are you guys running?

I change the oil before every track-day session and every 6000kms if no recent track-day sessions.

I use Motul 300V Chrono 10W40 for the engine and Gear 300 75/90 in diff and gear box (6MT)

Not to thread hijack, why 0w40 oil? Worried about cold weather? Or is there something I'm missing?

Mobil 1 0w-40 is a Euro blend synthetic. It has extra additives that are not in a standard US spec oil. The additives USED to be in the US spec oil. They took them out because of emissions and fuel mileage. And it's good for higher temps.

On our track exclusive Lotus Elise, I personally changed oil and filter every 500 miles. That’s not a typo. We ran the heck out of that motor. Oil was black by then.

Best way is to test your oil and see the useful life left and adjust accordingly.
One persons driving habits on and off track can have a noticeable impact on oil life.
