The other method is to make a stand that attaches to the bottom of the hatch were the wing mounts are mounted. You would use longer bolts to fasten the two together and then the stand would set and can be affixed to the bottom of the trunk if that makes sense.

another suggestion my shop gave me was to use cables, not sure how that would work though if hatch is the issue
I guess if we cable it to the rear bumper? but would never be able to use the trunk again....
