Well I’m sure the rotors are in her future. Sounds like she’s turning into a track car! I got my instructor certification for PCA and NASA so when you’re ready for the 2.75 instead of the 1/4 mile just let me know. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Well with the suspension mods and I also swapped out the read differential from the 3.69 to 3.91 gears with whiteline bushings. Went to the track and had a bit of a disappointed showing, but the air quality was crap (96F degrees). Intake temps were above 120F and the 60' was nowhere near where it needed to be and the trap was slow. I ended up running a 12.76 @ 109mph but probably had a better pass that was closer to a 12.6 but I let out about 150' from the finish line to win the bracket race and crossed with a 12.83 @101mph. More to come.

After going the drag strip, I came home and swapped out the rear diff again. This time we went with the 4.08 but wasnt able to go to the strip again because of the rain...so I was super bummed out. I'll have to wait another 3 weeks before I'm off again for the weekend to run again. Just the other day I installed the 2 piece rotors from Z1, so you can imagine the difference I should feel from last fall. This I hope will be the last and final install to get the fastest 1/4 mile pass for a N/A 370Z. Driving around with the 4.08 gears is different, I no longer have a 2nd gear lol...it's a quick blip in and out of 2nd.

Hopefully you can make it out to the strip one day this fall. I'm hoping to get the record this fall.

My best time will probably be a little later than that...needs to be much cooler temps...October will probably have 90 degree heat still.

So I haven't weighed the car yet (good idea...I'll be getting on that). I was able to run the car with the 4.08 gears and only ran 12.75 @108mph with 90 degree heat again. So with this low hp I decided to get a second opinion and got tuned by another tuner. The results were very close to the original tune... Posted Dyno baseline was 316 whp and the new tune is 314whp. The shifts are a little different, much harder shifts now at redline (I love it). We have come to the conclusion that the AAM 3" dual exhaust isnt scavenging enough gas and I've ordered a single exit 3" exhaust and Y-pipe from ISR. Then it's off for another Dyno to see if the new direction works. I've also ordered a pulley set that will be going on after the single exit exhaust is installed and dynoed, because I really want to see if the whp is as advertised on the pulleys. If the weather cooperates then low times to come...fingers crossed.

So I changed out the AAM R-Line exhaust for the ISR single exit and it's different. The AAM had a really good sound with no rasp...the ISR on the other hand sounds like I have a wastegate @2k-3k rpm then cleans up. I have a Z1 diff cover so for the AAM R-Line I had to trim a couple fins to fit on the left side. I was thinking since the ISR came out on the left side I would be good, but I was wrong. The ISR comes from the passenger side then crosses back over to the driver side so I had to trim a few fins on the right side of the diff this time. The fit on the new exhaust is pretty good, it is a tight fit the way it exits for sure.
Before and after pictures of the AAM R-LINE & ISR 3" EDIT: The ISR exhaust might have just needed to get broken in, because the rasp is gone. Keep in mind the exhaust is paired with Motordyne ART pipes and they make everything sound better.

Did you figure out which rear gear was best?
What I do is correct my runs to sea level using the current density altitude at the track that day. There is an online link that will look it up for you here: https://airdensityonline.com/us-track-list/ Once you know your DA plug it in here with your timeslip data: http://www.dragtimes.com/da-density-...calculator.php Then you can compare car performance with various modifications directly. I got your weights you asked for...with driver & 5 gallons of fuel: 3540 lbs - driver weight: 201 lbs = car only: 3340 lbs. These weights are with the ISR single exit, so if AAM R-LINE was still on then add another roughly 20-30 lbs as the AAM R-LINE exhaust weights a heavy 63 lbs. I am sorry but I was too excited to install the ISR exhaust that I completely forgot to weight it.
