Thank you.

I"ve edited the post to address your response as I've already gone through the post.

I was told there would be complications with the ECU in the near future, which is why I decided to do it another way.

There are several threads about disabling VDC on this site. If the site's search isn't working out for you, go to any of the big web search engines and add "site:the370z.com" to your search string. Eg, disable VDC site:the370z.com

Curious as to where you saw that post? I've had mine for a few years now and no problems.

All it takes is one guy to **** it up and post about it on the internet, and now people think this is a bad route lol

mmm it was a guy that supposedly knew this and had done this that I talked to.

I'm just being cautious, but you're a LOT more believable than that guy that didn't even own a z.

could you take a pic of how you did it? how the cables are put together into the switch?

thanks!

Use the link I gave above and you can find several pics, explanations of what's going on, DIYs, etc. The FSM is a great resource that has wiring diagrams, wire colors, connector pinouts, etc (see link in my sig).

If that's a shot at SouthArk, he owned a Z for a long time and helped a LOT of members here. He tried to help you, but he made the crucial mistake of expecting you to be able to sort through the information he provided and come up with an answer. Next time we'll know that you need to be spoon-fed the information. Sorry about that, it won't happen again.

Thanks for the kind words.

I don't think his comment was aimed at me but rather at the "guy" he had talked to.

Yeah. I'm a teach-'em-to-fish kind of guy. Not because I'm a nice guy; I just don't want to have to keep answering questions that have already been answered.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to attack me outta nowhere for made up reasons.
There's always someone wanting some drama.

I wasn't taking a shot at him.
I understood what he said.
Please go troll somewhere else guy.

I thought i sent pics on another thread....let me dig it back up....Just remember that the switch is normally on (contacts closed) for normal operation & you can turn your traction control button on & off.....but when you open the circuit on the Yaw sensor (contacts open/or switch off) a solid illuminated icon of a car skidding will appear on dash & will remain there until you turn switch back on (contacts closed) and turn car off & re-start.
