Default coilovers

So I'm making a wish list and coilovers come into mind, but i don't know what is the best choice besides the endless budget type. Car isn't a DD so I'm not in the market for something that is comfortable on the streets, i need to perform on the track. So I come up with 3 choice. KW v3 ( Most popular?) tien monoflex with edfc, Or BC coilovers.

Try the MCA brand from Australia. I'll be upgrading my BC's to these next.

Somehow, I am in the same boat and I am very inclined toward Tien for their edfc active pro, a local subaru guy who used it, said it made a great difference in the track and offered to use it if I have the coilovers before buying, unfortunately I am on oems.

I made it easier for myself to make it the deciding factor and I was thinking about the new monosport but a friend told me the spring rates may be too much for a car without aero parts, and now I am between it and flex z.

Would be interesting to see other people opinion on that setup.

Good luck in your choice.

3k would be the most i'd like to sink into it. The kw v3 and monoflex are between 2,300-2,600 I'm ok with that.

Elmo, I suggest you look seriously at the MCA Suspension shocks (MCA Suspension)

.... their prices are AU$ and at current exchange rates, usd.75c buys 1AUD. You might have some freight costs but import taxes ought to be minimal because of the US/AUS free trade agreement.

The MCA S15 just won WTAC at Sydney motorsport park so they clearly know how to set up suspension. Many of my race buddies use MCA in their race cars.

Only problem might be service if your alternative choice can be supported with re-valve/repair local to you.

Especially if you are getting more and more active in track events. I would also add the ease of adjustment (aka getting to the adjustment knob) into the consideration.

KW V3 - I remember reading that KW facility in CA would no longer revalve the non competition dampers, only rebuild. Although I think a few independent shops (Robispec comes to mind) can do that.

Bilstein PSS10 - if you are gonna consider V3, you should add this to your list.

Koni - at your price range, I think you have enough to get a set of custom valved Koni along with the supporting hardwares (top hat, springs, rear height adjuster, etc). A couple of members here (redline10000 and j-rho) went that route.

I would look at Stance and Fortune Auto as both provide customized and tunable products. MAMotorsports is got the hook up with Stance and I have had good luck with contacting Fortune Auto directly.
