too much drifting with lsd
after switch vlsd to os giken 1.5way, feel like different car in corner. too much drifting or oversteer now, lap time record 4 second slower on 4km track.
anybody know how to correct oversteer or how to drive lsd Z suspension: kw v3. spl control arm. spl camber arm. stock sway bars tire: RS3 285/35/18 all around. 32psi hot. 20mm spacer rear wheel. alignment: front -2.6 camber, rear -1.5 camber. 0 toe stillen supercharge 400whp |
Adjust your suspension. Make is softer in the rear and more firm in the front. A forced induction car is harder to get to hook out of the corners. Hard to say what is going on, this may be a driver issue or a setup issue.

Put a big front sway bar on the car and either leave the stock rear bar or remove it. I'd suggest the Hotchkis front bar.

Got just the Front Hotchkis for mine, still in the box...LOL

PSI also seems kind of low for RS3s, I'm usually running it up to 38psi hot but I don't think that's going to make up 4sec.
Agree with softer rear may help. |
Couple thoughts....
Apex a little later in the turn so you don't hold as much steering while coming out of it. It'll let you get on the gas harder on exit. Seeing how you have the Stillen SC, worry more about hitting the perfect apex that maximizes your exit speed, especially before the long straights. Your apex will be a little different after the LSD install. Feather the gas so you don't spin the tires while holding as much throttle as possible and just enough steering so the back end doesn't come out while staying on line. I like to be steady on the throttle and correct the pitch outs with a quick jerk on the steering wheel. Make sure VDC is off. I swear my VDC comes on more with the OSG LSD than it did before and I don't even have any HP mods yet. Could be I drive it harder now that my Z isn't trying to kill me anymore. Got a link to the track layout? |
If you have zero toe in the rear. Toe it in, 1/16" Zero toe, and toe out in the rear will give you snap-oversteer.

Too much drift?? Impossible-
