I noticed you have a license plate mounted. Do you still drive that thing around on the streets?

So first mod to the flat bottom! The heat is getting insane!!!!! Street driving my passenger floor where feet would go gets up to 165*! On the track I noticed 225*! So I'm sure it's the same temp under me and my seat since I have a XYZ pipe and my exhaust exits out behind my back where the gas tank used to be. Now the XYP pipes wrapped but it's almost touching the floor. I think next time I might spend a fortune and buy more reflexive heat backing and do the floor inside the frame rails and maybe the drive shaft tunnel.
The real mod was for the gas tank! Good news, cutting your tank in half works 100% for fuel starve. Bad news deleting the heat sheild and the E-brake heats the gas up to much! I ran down to zero dots on the track, came in to fill up and steam came out the gas cap. Not good!! It got so hot my roll over check valve wasn't venting anymore and pressure was building. So my mods so far were wrapping the resonator coming out of the XYZ pipe, the 45* bend which faces the tank, and the ultra quite resonator. I also got JEGS 1100* radiant heat blocking film which isn't cheap at $27 for 12x24". The floor and tunnel it's going to be cheap! Last I put a NACA duct facing right at the middle of the tank. This all might not keep me cool but at least the gas should be better.

That's a lot of heat. Wonder how much it is effecting the carbon fiber driveshaft?

Well I just talked to a buddy on FB with a 350z and he doesn't have a flat bottom. During 20-30 min runs his shoes melt so I think all our X or Y pipes are close to the floor and if not wrapped it's worse. I don't believe he is. You've got carpet and sound deadening plus mats and AC not? You prob don't notice it.

Your driveshaft tunnel is enclosed. So that trapping that much move heat.

Update.
Another track day at mid ohio done. The car is so much cooler!!! Granted it was also only 79* out vs 95* last time. I also have a racing suit now and i wasnt really complaining till around 15minutes in where the engine was getting up to 250* and my eyes were burning from heat from some where. I didnt test the floor this time because i didnt think i needed to as i can get back in and its not an oven. Now the down side. The gas tank is still getting to hot and pressurizing. One vent just isnt enough. Also the naca duct melted and is useless. I though that might happen being so close to the exhaust. Next game plan is to add a second vent, remove the naca duct and add a heat shield where the naca duct hole is. Ill just make a plate with an L bracket and add a vertical plate to that so i can just put it up in there without removing the flat body.

Combating gasoline boiling in tank take #3 do to the flat bottom. First was wrap exhaust. Second was reflective wrap on the gas tank itself with a NACA duct pointed at the tank. Well the NACA duct melted being so close to the exhaust. Hopefully this will solve it! Made a nice big heat shield so the radiant heat from the exhaust doesnt have a direct shot at the tank anymore! Fingers crossed!!

Take a look at some pictures of the bottom of a Viper ACR. That should give you some ideas. They're flat bottom.
