Default Last Stock 1/4 miles Runs

I decided to go back to the track one last time before I start modding to see if I could get better than my 12.80. Unfortunately I didn't but I did get a few 110 mph traps. The DA was -990 and it should be lower the next few weeks. Here's my fastest times.

Are you running drag radials? Those 60' times seem pretty low for stock street tires.

Thats fast for stock, how are you pulling those 60'? What tires?

I just ran a 12.8 but thats after mods and making 304/245 at wheels. Then again, it was my first run and I'm an amateur at 1/4 mile still...

I'd love to hear some tips/tricks from you!

I'm on stock street tires. It took me a while to figure out the best way to hook. I had to do a burnout rather than avoiding the water box like I was doing before and my 60' instantly got better.

You should post your slip. I'm still on street tires. Also weather conditions play a big part in times too.

Where do you live? If you're in higher elevation it may explain your numbers.

Higher elevations actually hurt your numbers... You will get better time closer to sea level due to air density.

I know that's why he might not be trapping 110. My track elevation is like 42.

My track elevation is 45msl or thereabouts. My 60fts are lousy 2.10 or so but trap speeds arent as impacted by the 60ft ime

I'm actually a couple of mph up at the 1/8 as well , is your track downhill ??

What street tires are you using? I do burnouts before every run and no way my 60' drops under 1.9xx. A stock 370z doesn't have that kind of power. (Mine ran 263whp on mustang dyno). And you are constantly trapping 110? That's mustang 5.0 hp range. Are you using race fuel?
I am still waiting for pic proof of the engine bay or video lol

I suppose you have 7at?

If it was downhill I'd be trapping like 120 LOL. I really think it's just the weather. The colder it gets here the higher I trap.

I took pics of the car at the track just for you lol but it wont let me upload them for some reason. I'm going to try Photobucket. The tires are stock I'll check to see exactly what they are. I had less than a 1/4 tank of premium gas in the car. Yes the car is a 71at.
