Epic Track Session >60 Cars On Track!
 

At the final NASA event at Summit Point this weekend they combined HPDE 3 & 4 for the final Saturday session. There were more than 60 cars on the 2 mile track!

I have no interest in summit main with 60 cars on it....so many roadblocks.

Come on Mike, that is so short sighted. Take a look at the video, everyone was on their game with giving point-bys. The consensus with the HPDE 3 & 4 guys, the instructors, and even the flag stand workers was that the session was amazing. I am sure you know some guys who were there this weekend, ask them.

Getting great lap times is nice but not only what HPDE is about. Even if it never happens, our eye is always on the prize of wheel to wheel racing. And that was the closest thing I have ever encountered to wheel to wheel racing.

I'm still sour because all of my cars were broken and I couldn't play.

60 cars. Bet there was a lot of moving chicanes. :icon17:

Honestly...I did watch the video and it didn't look at all fun for the faster cars. Nothing worse than 7-8 laps of car train waiting for point bye's IMO.
