Bad elf gps pointless?

So I bought Harry's lap timer and thought this iPhone connector bad elf would work. Anyone have this setup working or did I waste 100$?

I use a Bad Elf often, but exclusively use the logging feature. I record my session (autocrossing in my case) then I use the Bad Elf app to export the data and open it in my data analysis app (which I'm happen to be a co-developer of, RaceTrace). RaceTrace can import GPX files, which is one of the options when exporting from the Bad Elf app, I'm guessing Harry's can as well.

Do you have an external GPS for iphone? if not, you're still stuck with 1hz refresh rate. Harry told me his lap timer is VERY gps heavy. What you bought is fine (I have gopoint GL1 which is obd too but connected to iphone) but I use the XGPS160 to bump the refresh rate to 10 hz (10x than stock iphone).

PS: haha .. i really just typed "stock" iphone above!:bowrofl: I meant regular iphone.
