Potenza's held up quite well, I can take some photos of them later. The long sweepers at BW can be brutal on the fronts, my buddy had severe wear on his fronts (18" 275) after 90 laps. He'll be rotating those, lol. I only got in 40 laps due to missing several sessions on Sunday and fighting constant limp mode, boiled clutch fluid, and fuel cut.

Haha, nice photoshop

Lap times were not great due to the aforementioned mechanical issues, namely limp mode after the first lap, and a dead clutch pedal by the third. All things considered, I managed 2'32" as best for the weekend. Here's a video:

My buddy did 2'07" in an M3. The good news is I should have these problems solved before my next track day -- new oil cooler, clutch, lines, and fluids all going in over the next two weeks.

S-04's are not the best for the track. I had a set, grip isn't too bad, actually great in the wet. But they heat up and melt off pretty easy. I just got RE-11's and will track them next week for the first time.

What oil cooler are you going with? Unless that z1 is recent added to sig....motul fluids have always performed stellar for me

Answers in your order:

1. Limp mode
- Do you have winter?
+ If yes, get a 25-row oil cooler kit from Z1 Motorsports w/themostatic plate
+ If no, get the 34-row kit from Z1 Motorsports w/themostatic plate

2. Boiled clutch fluid
- Make sure this was not a CSC failure
- Clutch and Brake fluid should be NOTHING else than Motul RBF600.

3. Fuel cut
- If this is a ginormous issue for you, there is a kit available for about, what... $2k? that'll fix this for you.

Way ahead of you, but thanks for the advice

I've been sitting on the following for a few weeks waiting to get into a shop for installation -- every place has been booked, but I finally was able to make an appointment for early September:

Z1 Motorsports 34-row Setrab Oil Cooler /w Thermostatic Plate
ZSpeed Insulated Clutch Hose
ZSpeed HD CSC & OEM CMC
Southbend Stage 3 Clutch & Lightweight Flywheel

For fluids, I'm already using Motul RBF600, but I am seriously considering going up to Castrol SRF. FWIW, the CSC is fine, I'm just replacing it as a precaution, especially since the clutch is getting changed out anyway.

As for fuel cut, I'm not doing anything about that this round. If I can drive down a straight without having to pump the clutch, I'll be happy enough already. I'm considering a solution like phunk's RRP, probably in early spring. Until then, I'll just try to keep it topped off.

This is an excellent track guide! It's what I used when deciding on which cooler to buy.

Thanks!
