What do you guys use for track mapping, GPS, Lap timing stuff?
We work pretty closely with MoTec day in and day out and they have some AWESOME products that I think a few of you would love to have. If there is some interest Id love to answer any questions, or maybe set up a group buy of some sort? We have a pretty extensive knowledge base on these units so please dont hesitate to ask any questions, and if you would like to buy one know that we are not a "sell and disappear" type vendor. We can walk you through any questions/issues you may have. With that being said, here is one of my favorites: MoTec C125 Race logging kit: The C125 Race Logging Kit is a cost-effective, plug-in display and data logging solution based on our new full color C125 Display Logger. Offering professional level features at a club level price, the kit is quick and easy to connect, requiring no previous experience with MoTeC systems. Each component simply plugs into the professionally wired and terminated loom, which comes complete with a handy plug-in power adaptor. The kit is expandable and can be adapted to suit various applications. The C125 Race Logging Kit includes: · C125 Display Logger · 10 Hz GPS · Two buttons, pre-wired · Professional quality plug-in loom, terminated and labelled, with plug-in power adaptor · Ethernet Cable C125 Race Logging Kit Options - see Accessories for more details: · -The C125 will connect directly to the factory ECU of many late model vehicles using the optional plug-in OBD-II adaptor, providing access to important engine data. -Customers with MoTeC ECUs can connect to the C125 with our plug-in CAN or RS232 adaptors. Some other aftermarket ECUs may also connect with these looms. - Logging can be added to the C125 at any time, allowing for comprehensive data analysis in MoTeC's i2 software. This option is conveniently enabled using a password activation. · -For those wishing to expand their C125 Race Kit further, an I/O upgrade will activate additional inputs and outputs for greater functionality. A pre-wired, terminated I/O Loom is available, or customers can use their own. General -Complete, plug-in full colour display and data solution -Quick and easy to install with labelled, terminated looms and plug-in power adaptor* -Professional quality with club level pricing -Configurable display parameters within fixed layouts (see details below) -User-defined alarms and messages -GPS data and lap timing -Programmable, built-in color LEDs for shift lights and other driver alerts -Expandable and portable -Suitable for a diverse range of applications -Pre-wired to connect directly to factory or aftermarket ECUs - see Accessories *The power adapter can be removed for more permanent wiring to vehicle power Logging and Analysis -Internal data logging of 120 MB - can be enabled at the time of purchase or later using a convenient password activation -Fast download via Ethernet -Data analysis with i2 Standard software (included) or optional i2 Pro using a Feature Licence -Optional plug-in adaptor looms for OBD-II, CAN and RS232 provide quick access to data from OEM or aftermarket ECUs -Capable of accommodating over 300 channels derived from a mixture of analogue and digital inputs, RS232 and CAN data channels (optional C125 I/O upgrade required for analogue and digital inputs) Display -Numerous selectable layouts supplied, including an RPM sweep, RPM dial and a multi-value style ideal for the dyno -Each is available in four colour variations (red, green, blue, white) -Configurable channels, measurement units and warnings -48 user-defined alarms, for example Low Oil Pressure, Low Fuel, Fast Lap -Programmable overrides - particularly useful for showing values such as lap times -All layouts include a multi-purpose, zero-centred bar graph primarily for Lap -Gain/Loss but can be configured for other purposes such as Fuel Level, G-----Force (Lat or Long) and Steering Angle -Can be turned on or off -Three programmable 'pages' enable users to tailor layouts for different scenarios, for example: Dyno, Qualifying, Race, Driver 1/Driver 2 Ensures only the most relevant information is displayed at any given time Buttons -Pre-wired with a terminated, plug-in loom -Can be mounted in the steering wheel using the optional Curly Cord -Curly Cord also provides the flexibility to add extra buttons GPS -Compact unit with magnetic base -Pre-configured for use with MoTeC Display Loggers -Provides speed, position, lap timing, track mapping, date, time and more This is as plug and play as they get, cigarette lighter plug for power, and an OBDII plug to get all engine data. Can GPS map the track, or autoX course to provide accurate lap times. Great way to quantify the adjustments being made to the car such as spring rates, tires, shocks and many others. -Daelen

Im going to start doing some little updates from around the shop, figure people always like an inside look.
Feel free to keep posting product ideas! As the build season starts to roll in we are always looking for more work haha. This last weekend the guys where down at Texas Motor Speedway for FD, weekend did not end perfectly but given the circumstance a 3rd place is nothing to hang your head at. We ended up getting taken out by a mechanical failure sadly, Chris came over the radio right before lining up against Yokoi and told us his clutch had been acting up. We knew there was nothing we could do about it at the time but the culprit was found today. An ongoing flywheel issue led to a broken input shaft which then led to destroyed clutch discs. The car would stall if not accelerating which is why the restart and the bump in turn 1 when the car stalled on a handbrake pull. Hate to get taken out by something out of our control but hey, that's racing! Keep in mind this clutch sees the raw end of 1000hp and a heavy right foot so things happen haha.

If I can get say 5-10 people down for a group buy I bet I could make these happen at a reasonable price.

Carbon fiber roof would be awesome, even the FRP roof was 25lb less than stock from Shamu's thread. I'd be in either CF or FRP depends on the price.
