MA Motorsports-Shop Updates-Product Ideas-And much more!
Hey guys,
My name is Daelen, I work for MA Motorsports here in Glen Arm, MD. Some of you may know us, most may not. We have been around since 1999 building all kinds of crazy Nissans (And other cars) We run a full shop here from tuning, fabrication, install, and car set up. And it seems like many people are not aware we even exist haha. Currently we run the program for Chris Forsbergs Formula Drift 370Zs so we have been working very closely with these cars for many years and in that time have learned quite a bit. Here are a few pictures of our work: If you want any other pictures just ask! Obviously there are some things I cant share, but, worst I can say is no lol. This post is not only to introduce myself, but, also to ask you guys some questions. What products do you feel are missing from the market right now? Or what products do you think are not designed correctly for how you use them? Would you guys be interested in a true carbon roof skin, or rear fender replacements? We obviously use these on our cars, but we would like to know if its something people would like produced. Thanks for reading this and I look forward to hearing from you guys! -Daelen

A CF or Fiberglass block off plate for the 2015 Nismo front bumper LED holes for those of us that converted to that bumper but are unwilling to spend $1500 for fricken lights.

True lightweight carbon hoods, drop in hood vents, NA intake manifold, lighter weight or wider front fenders, Rear diffuser... It's a large list and I have lots of ideas/ designs I'm working on.

For the track,
1. I think a more cost effective solution to the fuel starvation problem. CJM has a great solution, its just 1k with out the installation. 2. A exhaust cut out manual or electronic that doesn't cost 3k which fits the Z. Would be nice to optimize NA performance with out having to remove your muffler at the track. 3. Some roll cage that looks good and keeps your interior intact (mostly) and you trust with your life. |

For something like this, are you guys BUILDING N/A Motors, or, are you looking to work off a stock motor? Quote:
I think if we can get a group buy on something like this we could make it happen.

Stock motor in my case. In my specific case I run SCCA Solo (autox) in A-street prepared so bolt-on's are basically all I'm allowed for increasing power.
As a point of reference, another user on here (1slow370) has a one off intake that many of use have drooled over. 1slow370's build

I would like to see more aero component's, functional rear diffuser and a functional front splitter. e-cut outs would be sweet also. OOO and maybe a kit for that bad a$$ vk swap you did with chris's car. An LS swap is a dime a dozen but to have a VK56 swap kit sticks with Nissan and more classy.

but with aesthetics in mind as much as function for me. Also stock motor.
Someone needs to make a heavy duty clutch master cylinder. I took care of the slave, but I'm about to be on my third master

since we are adding to a wishlist:
In the Miata world there is "shorty bumpers" that cut inches off the length of the car. im not sure what kind of room we have, but anything that can slim the look of the Z could be cool ( fenders bumpers hood ect ). check out what RyanWest did Got a little creative! a flat bumper cover could look good On another note, i am in the group of people who want a non plastic intake manifold and a cost effective solution to the weak oil pump stopping the car from higher revs |

Lots of good ideas guys, keep them coming!
For those talking about fixes for the weak Oil pump, is a true dry sump system something you would be looking to spend money on? Keep in mind a kit like that will most likely be well over $6000. We work very closely with Dailey Engineering so if there is enough interest in a full kit that may be something we can dig into. For a VK swap, if we can get a customer that is looking to do the swap we would love to get the car in and work on a kit! Unfortunately Chris's and the other shop cars are so far from factory that we can not base a kit off of them. But a street going VK 370Z is for sure on our list of builds we want to do!
