BC ER coilovers or OS Giken LSD??
Which of these two would be more beneficial for autocross? I'd love to get both but it gets really expensive to get all at once. I'm on my second season auto crossing and Im fully hooked. Since Im supercharged it automatically puts me in SSM so I'm not expecting win any trophies for the time being but want to get the car ready for second set of wheels with hoosiers down the road. I'm running stock suspension with Michelin PSS 265/35R19 front and 305/30R19 Rears. Still about half the life left on tires so there here to stay for now. Along with LSD or Coilovers I will be getting SPL front camber arms, whiteline sway bars and 20mm spacers to increase front track width. The car is not DD so I'll be going with little more aggressive alignment as well. I'm leaning towards the LSD because I keep finding myself constantly modulating the throttle. I think with my power levels the LSD would help a lot to put the power down on corner exits. But I'm not 100% sure which one would make bigger impact on the car's handling performance. If any of you could chime in I'd greatly appreciate

Coils make:
LSD is spectacular upgrade but is nearly $2k installed. You will realize more benefits from the LSD than the coils. Think otherwise? Show me the lap time that proves it

I did coils first, looking back, would probably say that LSD would have made a bigger difference early on. Both are great though. For me I guess it was nice to have driven on a crappy lsd for a while before I put in a good one so I could tell the difference. The coils/springs/suspension crap actually slowed me down for a good 6-7 months. The LSD I would think would be instant, no brainer time improvements for anyone.

LSD forsure and if you can throw in some sway bars even better.

Thanks everyone for your opinions! Now I know in which order to go with. LSD for now and definitely coilovers for next season. I already can't wait to install and test the new parts out.

The nismo is rough as they come so I would imagine quality coilovers would not be much worse haha All the work performed is by me only so extra $$$ for parts |

LSD is definitely on my list, but I think I'd want to keep the stock gearing on mine just because it's still a daily driver and probably will be until I can find a beater Miata to DD. |

Suspension ultimately allows you to learn more/do more, but there is the whole task of finding a ride rate you like, sway bar madness, setting the dampers, etc. There is also possibly a skillset problem that you will need to overcome-especially if you are not already an advanced level driver(which I am not). You are basically going to need to relearn your car for the next 6 months. Everything you got used to feeling in your oem setup is gone. Compare that with a LSD, hell it would take 2-3 seconds off anyone's time probably within their next 2 track days. It's very obvious what it does, requires no skill, and is just mash the pedal goodness. It's a no brainer, car puts down more power and rear end doesn't slide around due to wheel slip, end of story. Also IMO, if you are going to pay for the labor/install of installing a LSD for track use, just do the 4.08 gear upgrade at the same time. It's an extra 1100.00 yes, but there is no way you won't love it.
