anyone at TWS or COTA this weekend?
 

I have a 32 hour layover in Dallas tomorrow night and might rent a car and spectate if anything is going on. Cars and coffee also might be of interest.

Dallas Auto Show is going on at downtown convention center if you don't find anything better to do.

Edge Addicts at COTA
 

Edge Addicts is running a weekend at COTA this weekend - 4 HPDE groups and instructor group. Spectacular track to drive on. However, just saw the news that a bridge over I35 at Salado (north of Austin and where you would enter the toll road to get to COTA). Not sure if they have opened I35 this morning.

Last time I ran at COTA with EA, I saw McLarens, ferraris, A8s, an original restored GT40, original. Boss. Mustang, a few GT3s, wolfs, radicals and even a fairly recent F1 car. You can stand right on the lit wall to watch the front straightaway.

Cool. I did COTA last year with MVP. Decided to cancel the rental car though and go to the auto show instead.

Cool! I'm sure the Auto Show will be great. and the drive down i35 and back would suck. I will be back on COTA in July. Car in shop right now for roll cage,seats and harnesses.

I'll be instructing at The Driver's Edge at Motor Sport Ranch in Cresson, just south of Ft. Worth. We will be using the original 1.7 track while Drive Exotic is using the 1.3. You could probably get rides with either group or could rent something cool with Drive Exotic.
The Auto Show is interesting for about an hour. Come over to MSR after that :)
