Auto-X Tire Pressure on RE050's
What tire pressures have you guys been running for autocross?
Last week I forgot to adjust for the cold temps and noticed that I was running 31 PSI up front and 33 PSI in the rear. Funny thing, the Bridgestones are so stiff that I did not even roll over onto the side walls. Of course I know this is way to low. |
I was running 38F and 30-33R

It needs more grip in the rear. The car turns in GREAT, transitions well, but you have to be gentle on the gas....as it will want to slide the rear a lot under throttle while doing any kind of turning. The brakes are awesome! Looking forward to R compounds!

I did notice inside wheel spin trying to be easy on the throttle coming out of a turn around...just a little gas will get it spinning without engaged the VLSD, so hoping a big ole fat hoosier will allow us to get on the gas harder and get the diff to lock, but from the sound of the 350 guys, it looks like inside rear spin is gonna be something we need to live with without a real LSD

That makes a lot of sense. I was going in the wrong direction with my tire pressures. Rear grip was such a problem that I tried to adjust to a looser setting that allowed me to enter a corner a little faster and stay off the gas.
Of course, this just makes you slower... |
