Default NEW from Race Ramps - Two-Piece, Two-Stage Incline Race Ramps

For those familiar with the Race Ramps product line, this new design is essentially an RR-XT-2 two-piece 67" Race Ramp with an integrated RR-EX-14 XTender.

The overall length of the ramps is 87". The platform section is 30" long and the incline section is 63" long including the 6" interlock. The ramps are 10" high and 14" wide just like the standard RR-XT-2 product. The approach angle is just 6.8 degrees compared to 10.7 degrees on the standard RR-XT-2. The stop at the top of the ramp has been reduced from 3" to 2" high.

If you have 3.5" of ground clearance 24" in front of your front tire foot print, then the RLL-87-2 ramps will fit under your car. You need about 5" of clearance at 24" to use the RR-XT-2 67" ramps.

I expect to be shipping the RLL-87-2 ramps within the next two weeks. Pricing info should be available in a few days. I will post specs for the 8" high version of the ramps later this week.

Default Trailer Ramp Adapter for RLL-87-2 Race Ramps

The design for an optional Trailer Ramp Adapter for the 14" wide RLL-87-2 Race Ramps was approved this week. We should have this product available before the end of February. Basically the adapter converts the incline section of the RLL-87-2 ramp into a trailer ramp. The price of the RLL-87-2 plus the adapter is less than the combined price for a set of RR-XT-2 service ramps and the RR-TR-8 trailer ramps. The 6.8 degree initial angle of approach on the RLL-87-2 ramps is considerably less than the standard products (10.75 degrees for the RR-XT-2 and 8.4 degrees for the RR-TR-8).

The attached drawing shows the incline section of the RLL-87-2 ramps and the adapter. A similar adapter will not be made available for the RLL-72-2 ramps since the 72 inch ramps are only 12" wide. Brute Industries considers 14" the minimum width for trailer ramps.

As with the "step" on all Race Ramps trailer ramps, the top of the adapter is reinforced to support the combined weight of your car and the trailer door (or trailer ramps). The price of the RLL-87-2-TA adapters is $95/pair including shipping to any destination in the 48 Continental States.
