I'll send you a PM right now with a quote. Spacers are not ideal, but we have used them countless times with no ill effects.
The way it sits with the +22 is 10mm further inside the wheel well than the +12. It looks a little on the weak side.

I honestly don't think that is an accurate assessment.
10mm is a big enough difference to notice. If this were not true we would just recommend 350z sizing to everyone. There is a noticeable difference looking at a +22 next to a +12. You also have to realize the face of the wheel appears different as well. +12 is the hotness
