They're back. Round up the posse.

What is the proper procedure for flagging SPAM? Should I post a comment saying I've already flagged it? Comments in a SPAM thread (the comment will get deleted with the thread), but afraid I won't remember where all I've flagged/commented on SPAM comments. Does it make it more difficult for mods if different users flag a post multiple times? Does it really matter as long as it gets reported?

Cant our admin mac/ip ban on this forum?

SmokeEater27 09-18-2013 03:48 PM

there should be some type of a requirement for new members to enter their vins in some sort of a verification portion during registering. This way the admins can verify the vin of a new members 370z to make sure they truly own a Z and not a fictional one. And if they dont want to give their vin then let them just stay forum "creepers".. Might be a half a-s-s idea but figured id give a shot in the dark lol.

That might be a turnoff to some, myself included. Having to give up a unique identifier like that may be over the line. I'm all for some type of verification, but not anything as specific as the VIN.

Chuck33079 09-18-2013 04:00 PM

Hell, just make them post something that's not gibberish.:rofl2:

yea it was just a quick idea that popped in my head. Im sure theres probably a way better way to get true verification of a user being 100% legit. thats why i couldnt run a forum because i would probably be the only one in it :bowrofl:

Another spate coming in. Mods are getting behind. :)

Edit: They're gone now!

Thanks guys for the patience and help.

For clarification just use the Report button, and post "Reported" so others know its been reported, and WE don't end up with a pile of reports to the same spamer.

Again THANK YOU :)
