Why so Many Endless Threads? not so much fun
Stats say a response will likely occur only after a limited amount of answers. TRUE THAT. If a thread goes on for numerous pages it is lost: No followers, no current opinions, no one cares, no interest. Big NO INTEREST after the 1st couple pages. Why don’t you guys encourage new posts & stop flaming or worse $hit dumping new posters? You are SO strict! Looks like an old geezer club here with no titanium parts or sparks.

Let's dissect what you just wrote. Why have threads go on with numerous pages when the answer is usually found on the FIRST page? That is what you put right? So you are proposing the idea to have multiple threads started on the same topic instead of being "smart" and using the search function to go to the original thread on whatever topic one has in mind. Furthermore if it has numerous pages one would simply have to click on page 1 to find the most relevant answers by that very logic. Thus you don't have multiple threads cluttering up the forum on the same topic. Then which thread has the best answers? Because the same members didn't take the time to respond to every single thread on the subject. Consolidation my friend. Search function: learn it, live it, love it!

Hey!!! I'm not a geezer!
Seriously though, there's A LOT OF EXPERTISE on this forum. Our experts weigh in throughout all pages of a thread, not just the first few pages. But there's also a lot of comedy on this forum. It's kinda what makes this forum cool. Comedic relief/jokes first, then serious business later. Works for me, and members seem pretty entertained as I've seen. If it's something I'm truly concerned about though, I read through all pages, not just the first ones. In threads like this one that I started, people digressed into much more detailed explanations in the latter pages regarding personal opinions when it came to driving habits.

<Agree-disagree>
Agree: many posts go on and on after the first couple of pages with not really useful information, I normally stop following these kind of threads although I have to say from time to time new useful stuff in that post comes up after many pages. Disagree: if people write a new post every time they have a question (let's say which exhaust to buy, how to tune the car, etc) we'll end up having tons of similar posts with always the same information in them. Also, active forum users tend to get annoyed answering the same questions over and over, and this happens in RL too </Agree-disagree> So they key here is: search first / ask after Let's be honest, people tend to invert that ^^.

It's so much more entertaining if you read it in Steven Wright's voice.
