I always say, reps are better than likes any day.

People need to realize the difference between giving someone "rep" and "like". I'll briefly explain below. They are def. not the same. Since the Like system been initiated, I still give rep point when I'm suppose to:
REP Point: Rep point should be given when you see a great post. When someone has asked a question and an individual member took the time to answer that question, he deserve a rep point. Thank them for their post. When you've asked a specific question like "what's the torque ft/lbs for ____?" or "what are the steps to remove the front bumper or intakes" and someone takes the time to answer it for you (and writes down the steps), don't just throw them a like. You take the time to encourage the positive post/reply and write a small "thank you sentence" by giving them a rep point. Just use your senses. It doesn't even have to be something that YOU have asked. It doesn't matter who asked a question. It can be any post. If you feel that someone posted a great reply and if you feel that IT SHOULD BE ENCOURAGED, give them a positive rep point. That should be their encouragement. LIKE: As I have mentioned before , "like" system should be used to pin point the "most helpful" reply(s) (as rep system can NOT do this). So basically leave a rep point to "encourage the poster" for a certain post and then LIKE that post so that someone else coming into the thread can INSTANTLY pin point the most useful/helpful post. If you stumble upon a thread "how do I fix my windows are stereo install?", the post explaining the procedure should have both rep and like. Like system is here to distinguish helpful post(s) in a 10 page thread discussing "which wheel lock is compatible with 370z's unique lugnuts?". It makes your life easier. But you can also randomly use the like system in picture threads or premium section etc. I'm not going to penalize you if you do not 100% follow it. But in the "Tech" and "General" section, please try to use it so that it benefits other members here. happy forum browsing
